Re: Support DNG thumbnails in Win7 when DNG codec is installed

I must be half asleep - of course it's the XYplorer-is-not-a-64bit-application-problem :/ Bugger. Oh well. I don't have a Windows 32bit computer any more (haven't for years actually) so would any kind 32bit user mind installing this codec and sending me the 32bit files so I can attempt to register t...

Proof I'm not lying!

Are there any other things about my setup that you need to know?

Support DNG thumbnails in Win7 when DNG codec is installed

Hi Don, currently loving the 1020th build of 9.90 and can't wait to see what you're putting off for the big 10 release! As you're so *obviously* not busy, I thought I'd put a little wish request in. Adobe have *finally* released a workable DNG codec for Win7 x64 (http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php...

Ah, I was unaware of that little check box. All working fine, sorry for the false alarm!

UTF-8 without BOM not displaying in preview correctly

Following on from http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6004 if I preview a BOMless UTF-8 HTML file in XY, characters such as ‘ get displayed as ‘ . Would be great it this was fixed since BOM is not recommended for UTF-8 :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte_order_mark#UTF-8 http://e...

Re: Start up failure on recent betas

I just ran into this exact problem. I run XY portably on the Windows based web servers I maintain and they don't have WMP installed by default. Would it not be possible to just load XY with a message saying "this bit of functionality is temporarily disabled since you don't have WMP installed&qu...

Thanks for this, it works great and puts yet another tick in the-best-portable-file-manager box ;)

Re: Faster File/Dir Renaming

...or a quick little regex rename...
  1. select all
  2. ALT+F2
  3. file > file00
Cleverer people than me could probably come up with a way to do this generically, but this works...

Tab: "Set home" to portable drive letter?

I'm sure I'm just overlooking something, but if I go to a path using the portable drive letter "?" and then set the tab to use this as the home for itself, it doesn't store the portable drive "?" but the actual drive letter instead"C:" for example. How do I get it to re...

Re: copy directory text list

Or if you generally steer clear of menus...
Select your files, then press CTRL+P for paths and names or CTRL+SHIFT+P just for names (then you just CTRL+V in your favourite text editor). It's a lighter version of the full reports you can get that Don (admin) mentioned.

Re: Faster File/Dir Renaming

I think I'm going to like this, I certainly like the idea of it. I'm just going to have to retrain my muscle memory to not just hit F2, DOWN when I want to append something to the filename. Now I have to press F2, RIGHT, LEFT... not so great. Better solutions welcomed ;)

Not sure I entirely get how this is supposed to be used or help. I don't suppose you could make some screenshots to show could you? Sounds very intriguing!

Re: Another 7-zip script

Plastic, you need to update your script, replacing line 123: $g_list_items = getinfo("SelectedItemsPathNames", "|"); with: $g_list_items = getinfo("SelectedItemsPathNames", "|") . "|"; This is why. I've updated my modified script above. Also, just a ...
