Re: Screenshots

I like FastStone Capture and its workflow! but last time I checked it was lacking a lot quality-wise for captures on Windows Vista/7 (Aero stuff). It's really hard to find an application with a decent UI which is not too complex, too minimalistic or ugly, bloated, expensive :D (tried a lot of them l...

Re: Random crash

No joy here, more or less it seems the same. I tried one of the Nirsoft utilities maybe the threads say something useful, I don't know :) Hang report for C:\Program Files (x86)\XYplorer\XYplorer.exe Generated by using WhatIsHang on 31/12/2011 00:13:52 Web site: http://www.nirsoft.net Remarks: * The ...

Re: Random crash

I managed to get three crashes in the last 10 minutes, what triggered the crash was the "Restart without Saving" function in XYplorer, before that, only selecting files and invoking the contextual menu without performing any action. But again unfortunately this behaviour is intermittent

Re: Random crash

I really tried to do again everything I did as yesterday to get a crash, and I had only one in about half an hour of tries. Before the crash I saw the error message Run-time error '7': Out of memory exactly as in one of the reported screenshoots. But I can't find a reproducible pattern yet

Re: Random crash

This evening after upgrading from 10.60 to 10.70.0100 my XYplorer is crashing a lot, it doesn't happen always but when it does it seems to do when right clicking a file and invoking the contextual menu (to pick two files to compare with Beyond Compare which I have installed). Unfortunately I can't u...

Small glitch in help file - missing header

XYplorer 9.90.0100, the page "Labels, Tags, Comments" doesn't have the header and the navigation arrows as the other pages (shown in attached screenshot).

Re: File Timestaming Bugs

About number 1, I think it may be because of a FAT filesystem and its timestamp granularity.

Change file date in info panel and autorefresh

I'm trying to change date and time properties of a file using the options in the info panel, but this is not really possible because as soon as I click on the fields, a moment after, before making real changes, "changes" are auto committed. Now I think the problem is: in the same folder, there's ano...

Re: script for opening application and paste text

Well I'm no expert but you can't paste easily into Everything, but I think you can pass the text to search for on the commandline, so if you want to search for <curbase>, something like this should work run """C:\path\to\Everything.exe"" -search ""<curbase>"""; you have of course to adjust the path ...

Re: Back from the Shop...

My Virtual Win7 now does not see any files on my XP system, nor does it recognize any of my DVD or USB drives. Currently my only way to share files is to upload them in XP and download them in Win7. :) Is the only way to share files "Shared Folders" thing, or can I use an DVD or USB drive somehow? ...

Re: I wish for ... A Launch Bar

Hello Roger, yes, you can fully evaluate XYplorer capabilities and scripting. I would like to add a thing that may not be so obvious at the beginning. Each command/function in XYplorer has associated a unique numerical identifier (#nnnn). You can produce and read a list of these command IDs from the...

Re: Windows 7 VirtualStore folder

I have XP Prof but no such tabs. Just this (looks the same whether from admin or from user account): About the tab, I think it may not be a FAT32/NTFS issue, to see the security tab, you may try to disable simple file sharing in folder options (default is: enabled in Windows XP Professional so no s...
