Happy New Year!

Happy New Year all! It's been a while, and as usual when I get back, XYplorer has some great new features, speedups, bugfixes and clarity fixes. Don, you're a legend. Actually I'm still looking back through the version history, the last version I got was 5.00.0044 so it's taking a while! Anyway here...

Toolbar toggles have no visual indiction

You can't tell if a toolbar toggle button is on or off. It would be really nice if you could.

Yes, I still use them! Ok, not that often, but I do...as they are still accessable easily when I have the catalog hidden so I can view more of tree, for example... Also, they may well be easier for new user to handle before they get into the catalog scheme...as well as for keyboard shortcut users.....

Large JPG fullscreen crash

I have this 1.5MB image on my HD. When I click Full Screen in the Preview tab, I get a black screen. Then I click to escape that. Then a click anywhere in XYplorer will cause a crash.

Re: Error "C:\ is currently hidden"

Happens when you enter "C:/"... (forward slash). Should I correct this user sloppiness? That's definately not the cause of my bugs. The first time I created a root drive catalog item by removing the tail of an existing path. :? I still can't get it to fail... Uncheck "Show Hidden Files and Folders"...

Making Flash Video preview work

v5.40.0046 - 13.12.06 09:25 + Media Preview: added *.flv (Flash Video) format. Which means: now, XYplorer can offline-replay YouTube videos! Here is how: While playing a YouTube video, visit your "Temporary Internet Files" cache folder and search for files called "get_video[1]". The newest of them ...

Why do we still have favourites anyway? Does anyone use them in addition to the catalog? What would be the point? Seems to me like another thing to confuse newbies.

I had the "G:\ is currently hidden" error when I created a catalog favourite pointing at G:\ and then clicked on it. However after using Ctrl-Shift-G to go to G:\ and getting the error again, I went Ctrl-Shift-G to C:\, which worked. Trying both tests again resulted in no errors, and even after rest...

Natural numeric sort order

Doesn't work with decimals, ie. 20.5 comes before 20 instead of after.

For information on RegExp syntax consult the internet.

XYplorer help wrote:For information on RegExp syntax consult the internet.
This isn't good enough. Not least because it doesn't say exactly what kind of Regular expression XYplorer uses.
