I disabled Avast but this did not improve xyPlorer startup time, which is still about 45 secs.

Slow startup

XYPlorer (13.80.0100) takes almost a minute to come up on my i7 8.1 laptop. I raised this issue in the past, but the problem persists. Any chance of improvement? My guess is that XY is trying to establish connection to a networked computer and does not display the local tree until the network scanni...

The diskcleanup service only removes system files and other files from D:. It is not really interested in D:

Is there a way to force Windows (8.1) to only use C: for its business and leave D: alone?

My D: tree is infested with 0-length Read-Only folders like '47dad0be1a762b5521c5687eefec0d1a' or '00df2040230c7b61b7'. Checking or unchecking 'View/Show items/Show Hidden Files and Folder' and/or 'View/Show items/Show System Files and Folder' has no effect. How do I get rid of these folders in the ...

You are right, with backslashes it connects. The 'Browse for network server' still does not work.
