Agreed - lingeringly. :) When scripting was mainly calling IDs i thought "If we only could have ..." at least twice a day - but considering Don's functioning i added "Patience!". But only a handful of betas later and now with an almost complete OS at hand i am already used to my white on red "Custom...

 That's why we say relative - i sermonize that all day long! Peinlich, peinlich! ["Hot under the collar" - perfect phrase!] Imagine: three colleagues sittin' on my shoulders and i was promoting the powers of XY! And then such! From there on i was just revolving in my self made maze. "Denken mü...

Dugged a bit deeper:

If the file is somewhere on C:\ a relative ?:\... works!

Tried a Go To: if the file resides on F: i get a "Couldn't find location C:\..." - where if it's on C: it's found by ?:\...

 Murphy's law working on both of them sticks? Or yet a ?-conflict?

No, i forgot to mention, that i checked that before - i even changed the setting and then changed it back. The application icon remained there with either setting and even when changing from relative to real path and back (so i thought: ok it's cached). On my way home i wondered, if it might be some...

Sorry to barge in "de Köl(l)sche Stimmung", Don - Alaaf!

..\IZArc\IZArc.exe as well as ?:\Apps\Fileman\IZArc\IZArc.exe

whereas ?:\Apps\Fileman\XY\Docs\Here is scripting.txt works.

Thanks for wonders :!:

One-click relative path to application (on catalog)

Still overwhelmed by the evolution of scripting and far from keeping pace with testing these powers (feel like a magician's apprentice) i stumbled upon one-click open item from catalog using relative path for an application on my thumb drive doesn't work anymore. Can anyone confirm (or did i miss so...

@KyferEz I am satisfied w/o DP :) - because those few occasions i'm in need for visual side by side comparison of folders and files i have BeyondCompare, that does it all (and more). Like some other good comparison tools it does integrate all by itself with it's own file and folders context menu ite...

Just six days on the road - and scripting is there! And scripting the easy way - at least from a user's point of view! SUUUPER! That deserves giving at least one lifetime to someone who isn't even aware of XYplorer being out there. Just attempting to make his day. (I'll go to later from home). :) Wi...

Nir Sofer's NirExt (nirsoft.net) gives you three special context menu extensions, that work great out of XY too. One is Create Shortcut+. Lets you choose from Desktop Start Menu Start Menu->Programs Desktop (For All Users) Start Menu (For All Users) Start Menu->Programs (For All Users) + all options...

UDC | New - i'm yet far from fully imagining how useful this will be for me, but i feel it in my veins. And i know for sure, there are not that many things as thrilling as witnessing XYplorer's evolution. Jacky is so fast perceiving - he almost outdistanced my thought. But i'm proceeding on Jacky's ...
