Re: Custom command line interpreter

*.0300 Short names do not work, so they are out here. Default command line ! -> opens command prompt - Good !! -> opens and closes command prompt - Good !dir -> open command prompt with directory listing - Good !!dir -> open command prompt with directory listing and closes - Good %winsysnative%\Win...

Re: Custom command line interpreter

Another option would be to remove the short name fixes entirely :ninja: . Everything works there apart from short names.

Re: Custom command line interpreter

In 309 With shortname ! and !! don't seem to do anything !ls and !!ls - do a directory listing and exit With the longname, %winsysnative%\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe !, !!, !ls and !!ls all behave the same. - They just open a window This is breaking a lot of things. Probably, that /c and /...

Re: Custom command line interpreter

Ok, I tried following four commands and third and fourth one works

!pause
!ls;pause
!!pause
!!ls;pause

BTW, this opens 32 bit powershell and don't think Don would be able to control that. I shall stick to %winsysnative%\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe

Re: Custom command line interpreter

Doesn't work. Powershell launches and disappears. I couldn't get the error message, but I tried replacing powershell with notepad It gives me the below error. --------------------------- Notepad --------------------------- Cannot find the /k .txt file. Do you want to create a new file? -------------...

Re: Custom command line interpreter

Thanks. %winsysnative%\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe opens 64 bit. I hadn't tried this %winsysnative% earlier.

Custom command line interpreter

This falls in between a bug and wish 1. The custom command line interpreter doesn't work with shortnames. If I type powershell in Windows Run dialog it works, but in the text box, this doesn't work and we need to give the full path 2. There are two versions (x86 and x64) for PowerShell. I tried givi...

Re: Custom Columns - VF and Single Run of a section

My custom column is simple. I have a sqlite database from which I bring out the details for each of the files in that folder. I wanted to filter out those files which have particular values (no fixed criteria). As the populated column is mix of multiple fields, color filters won't be very useful. Ba...

Re: Custom Columns - VF and Single Run of a section

Thanks Qwerty. This does a quick search and then does a filter on the listed files. Quick search forgets the populated custom columns (and for some odd reason I thought VF doesn't - my bad as VF forgets it as well). I had tried VF where the custom column were set with trigger mode as browse and quic...

Re: Custom Columns - VF and Single Run of a section

No, let Don focus on CEA instead.

OTOH, Quick Search works on custom columns. Could this support be added to VF.

Re: Custom Columns - VF and Single Run of a section

Thanks TheQwerty for your concise answers as always. I have around half a million items that are tagged now (externally). XY was using around 350 MB with around 150 thousand entries. So I moved towards a SQLite solution. So using Extra Tags isn't an option. A combination of the two shouldn't necessa...

Moves from a branch view to a non existent folder fails

Strange bug. I enable a branch view on a set of folder which all have one file with the same name. If I move files (more than one) from these folders after enabling a branch view to a non-existent folder, it prompts about a rich copy which I refuse. Then it creates the folder and moves one file. The...

Re: Caption title fluff

Press F9 to enter the Settings. Under Colors and Styles heading, choose Templates. Set the titlebar to <app> and it will show the bare minimum application name. (You cannot remove the application name from the titlebar)

The upgraded from message disappears on tab switch.

Custom Columns - VF and Single Run of a section

Happy New XYear 1. Is it possible to set a Visual Filter on Custom Scripted Column 2. As the scripts for custom column, run per file, how do you run a section of code only once. My scripted column pulls data from a file for that folder (intended to do once - cache it) and then works out values for i...
