Re: Size Bars visual should be improved

"In general" there is no "better" for linear or logarithmic. It's about what you want to see! If you have (among others) 2 files of 100B and 10KB, it *may* look strange if these (differing by 10000%) both look like empty. So there *can* be an advantage for logarithmic. And I've seen many diagrams in...

Re: Size Bars visual should be improved

I think your idea is just what's needed here. But I'd hope you apply a bit of scaling: - drop some left pixels, so that the shortest bar will be just 1 (or 2) pixels long. (Else the left part of all bars wouldn't say much.) - scale the bar, so that the longest bar will be of full size. You will neve...

Usually yes - but not if it's a tweak.

For tweaks you often find a short note in XY's .ini file.
Else in the change log, or by searching the forum.

Re: Cannot read removable storage anymore

It seems to me that the extension is just hidden - else "Type" would/could not be "FastStone JPG File".

Re: Can't save custom copy configuration options

For test just made a portable install of the current beta to XP: OK/Cancel are shown as they should.

Edit
by the way: no "weird gap", too.

So it would become a sort of XYservice64, or in short XY64 ? :D

Re: building a menu ?

In the expression Video;*.mp4;*.avi ";" is the separator "sep_item", so:
Video = caption
*.mp4 = data
*.avi = icon

You didn't mean it this way, I think.

...and, on the other side, did you have a look at XY's Dual Pane function?
Then maybe you don't need 2 * XY.

Isn't this "Overview of existing scripts"?

I think it's not bad to have an area for scripts *and* script-related questions.

Re: Permanent Variables in 2nd instances of XYplorer

Shouldn't permanent variables stick as soon as they are applied and be updated and available for use in a second instance of XYplorer? my POV: no! Reason: there are situations where a perm variables meaning is just for the local XY. I think there are other ways to give info from one XY to onother, ...

Re: two application states simultaneously

So you're the throw-away kind of guy... It reads from the original files. Why not?! It never writes to them. Yes, I throw away the current state for a well defined state after a new start  My stmt was meant to your outdated idea of "(automatic) silent save settings" before start ...

I hope for these settings you would use a copy of the files? As I *never* save settings, be it at will, or silent

Re: Project XYplorer on Linux: 15/03 New Video!

My intention was just to modify the given "Mover|<xy>" *;\ >run '"/usr/bin/python" "/home/naveed/xyassist.py" "/data/code/projects/filer/filer.py" <pfaitems>'; which has the problem of not resolving <pfaitems> (as being in a single quoted string), to an equivalent string *with* substitution. And I'm...

Re: Project XYplorer on Linux: 15/03 New Video!

I didn't follow the story, only the very last part. And it seems to me that you got something wrong... So: the run command's operand is a string, this is XY-syntax. A string must be specified quoted, either double (variables are resolved) or single (variables are seen as plain text). As the outer qu...
