Can't fix that one, sorry.
And for the moment, not a whole lot I can do either, but we're working on it! Hence, my apologies.

Re: XYplorer keeps crashing :(

Some other troubleshooting ideas: 1. Why not just keep XY open (and minimized when desired) all the time? Why do you need to close it when you do? 2. Are you working with any externally attached drives or other attached devices? 3. Aside from checking shell extensions (consider inspecting with Sysin...

Search Template dialog doesn't always auto-close on load of template

Not a huge problem, but very recently I have been finding that the Search Template dialog doesn't always auto-close when I click on the Load Template button, like it always did in the past. Can't reproduce this; it just happens sporadically. The templated search does run, but the dialog stays up unt...

Feature? In Search Results & Branch View, dragging a file onto another moves file to root folder of search/branch

In Search Results and Branch View, dragging a file onto another file will move the file into the root folder of the search or branch view. Is this actually a feature? If so, is there a way to turn it off? This seems to explain the heretofore mysterious appearances of files in my toplevel folders. [U...

So, then, why not be motivated to move a bullet point out of the CON column for XY?

Re: Make 'AND' optional in expressions for search, filters

I understand it might require revision of old code, but why would it be "impossible"? Is this code that is VB6 binary that you have no ability to modify?

Re: Make 'AND' optional in expressions for search, filters

I have a dream ... For clarity, consistency, easier access to XY's search and filter syntax, and to encourage, educate and empower all users (not just power elites ;-)) to take advantage of XY's enhanced productivity capabilities: Unified Search and Filter More details of this wish I hope to follow ...

Re: Bug or Feature: Search/Replace Rename for Xx --> XX won't work with odd number of X's

Ok, I guess the rule to remember here is that the string matching proceeds from left to right with no overlapping . So the "Xx" matches the first XX, takes those 2 characters out of consideration for further matching and moves along. This is also the way Notepad does its case-insensitive search and ...

Actually, I think I agree with you on that; not sure why I included that example.

Bug or Feature: Search/Replace Rename for Xx --> XX won't work with odd number of X's

When there are an odd number of the same letter in a row, with all but the last letter uppercase, search and replace of "Xx" to "XX" does not change the last lowercase character. For example using the expression "Xx/XX" in Rename Special > Search and Replace , XXx-abx.txt does not change at all XXx-...

Re: List doesn't auto-refresh

You may want to double check what happens when both active tabs point to the same path - it appears to only refresh the most recently opened not necessarily the active pane's active tab. On a related note, perhaps, I am working with synced dual panes pointing to the same folder in both source and b...

Re: 64 bit XYPlorer

@atarikg, But even with the icon overlay issue, can you not workaround it with WOW64 or related registry changes? I think you referred to something like this earlier. If so, at least it's not a total showstopper. But it does mean that XYplorer has to be even more worth it (relative to competitors), ...

Re: 64 bit XYPlorer

@Jerry: The major problem so far has been icon overlays. Ok, I see how that can be a significant issue. I ask about this, because I hear a lot of complaints about XYplorer not being 64-bit but for my particular usage and because XY is mostly about I/O, it's a not a problem at all. Whereas, the 32-b...
