Re: Script that would rename a file based on subfolder?

Guess... Both getpathcomponents statements? if (exists("<curitem>") == 1) { renameitem(getpathcomponent("<curitem>", "component", -3) . " - " . getpathcomponent("<curitem>", "parent")); } I got this one working - but now - I have issues with the Parent folder name has a "dot" in the title. So when ...

Re: How do I backup ALL XY Settings (for easy reinstall)

The default content for a installed XY instance is: [Appdata] Path=%APPDATA%\XYplorer You could just move D:\backup\XYplorer to %APPDATA%\XYplorer, but looks like your <xydata> is inherently backed up already! :wink: So - is the startup.ini - standard issue? As in - does it get written when a new i...

Why - yes I do! And look what is in it...

[Appdata]
Path=D:\Backup\XYplorer

Looks like I must have diverted the app directory sometime in the distant past....

Re: How do I backup ALL XY Settings (for easy reinstall)

goto <xydata>; in the address bar takes you to the place where XY's data is stored. Regular backups: Yeah, use a tool. If necessary with revisions... Hmm...when I type <xydata> - I jump over to an old backup folder on my D drive. Seems I must have made some changes a while back. Is the "data" direc...

Re: How do I backup ALL XY Settings (for easy reinstall)

File - Settings Special - Backup Application Data Folder... From the file requester, create a new folder, select it, hit OK. To restore it copy it's content back to the XYplorer's application data folder on the new machine (while XY isn't started) Cool. But - once set up as above - how do I periodi...

How do I backup ALL XY Settings (for easy reinstall)

I will be building some new workstations in the near future and would like to be able to reinstall a perfect working copy of XY - including all my settings, scripts etc.

Best practice for backing it up?

Wow! Sweet

However - the rename ends up being in reverse. I am getting The Wall - Pink Floyd.rar

What do I need to swap around?

Script that would rename a file based on subfolder?

Looking for some XY help in reorganizing hundreds of scanned "CD" asset archive files (Cover,booklet, disc etc) that all have the same name (artwork.rar) and all exist in a folder structure that looks like this: Album Assets->P-Pink Floyd->The Wall->Artwork.rar Ideally in XYPlorer - I would like to ...

Is the F12 Search - context/folder sensitive?

I have found that if I click on a specific folder on the tree (left side)- and then want to search it - and press F12 - the search panel appears - but I always have to manually fill the folder path that I want to search. Would really be nice to have an option to make the path you are on - be the pat...

Re: Is it possible to display "Dimensions" as a column?

I suppose you found this, but if you right-click on the "Name" or "Ext" column headers, you'll see a choice "Custom 1: Dimensions". Enabling that should be what you want. Not sure of relative speeds. I do not see that option. When I right click on either "Name" or "Ext" - my Custom items contain th...
