After a year or so of not using XYplorer, and a number of Windows reinstalls (on the same computer),
my lifetime digital KEY does not release me from the TRIAL VERSION.
I tried first USB stick install and then the normal C:\Program Files\ install.

Re: Icon thumbs incorrect (cropped severely)
@klownboy Many thanks for explanation - it is starting to make more sense to me now. I will firstly restrict myself to only 3 thumbs sizes (16x16, 32x32 and 128x128) as having 4 sizes (and constantly adjusting Size #1, #2 and #3 may be an issue). The 3 thumbs sizes chosen as above will probably suit...

Re: Icon thumbs incorrect (cropped severely)
@klownboy You have now confused me more than I was before. In the early days (a few months ago) I was creating icons of size 16x16 of everything (emphasis was to cram as many details lines as possible on the display for rapid browsing). When the massive file management was slowing down to a steady p...

Icon thumbs incorrect (cropped severely)
I am using a very old version (21.80.0002) which as part of using was creating thumbs (icons) of size 32x32 for many files (low-resolution) and gradually upgraded to higher resolution files with 32x32 thumbs. I then allowed XYplorer to create thumbs of size 128x128 for both low-res and hi-res files ...

Re: Multiple size CACHING of thumbnails
@klownboy Thanks for reply. I viewed briefly the topic (would take me a while to read all pages) and downloaded from page 12 (03 May 2018) ThumbnailMaintenance_v1.19.zip. I have never used scripts before (MS DOS batch files is the closest thing...) but quite easily via Scripting > Load Script File.....

Multiple size CACHING of thumbnails
I have been caching thumbs (and saving to cache file) but always at a certain size. Anyway to automatically cache (and save to cache file) multiple sizes at once - eg for me 16, 32, 64, 128 square sizes? Because I am going to cache many millions of images over many thousands of folders - which does ...

Caching Folder sizes
I do not know the methodology used when caching Folder sizes. Does checking folder cache only do its calculations for the current folder you are visiting - or does it do for all sub-folders? e.g. suppose you visit the root directory of C:\ (windows OS) - does xyplorer attempt to cache all possible s...

Re: XYplorer does not load
Just to let you know... I have SUCCESSFULLY configured now 21.80.002 for RAMdrive installation - and preliminary tests show NO PROBLEMS. The digital key works (no watermarks, trial days left). So I am back to "normal" (like one month ago). I do not know what went wrong as first stated - bu...

Re: XYplorer does not load
@Admin Thanks for "freezer suggestion - which works OK (but only when I had used Windows Control Panel Uninstall a program to uninstall the C:\ xyplorer\ app) - and this .70 version is now installed on the C:\xyplorer\ folder. The digital key works now (no Trial watermarks visible). Soon I will...

XYplorer does not load
Just downloaded BETA (21.80...) replacing 70.104 and for some reason it does not launch. The installation routine done many times by me is to install /extract zip to RAMdrive and then add extra files to this xyplorer folder, zip the whole folder and save on C:\. Now every time I restart windows (whi...

Re: Filter out files (by selected extension) from List View
Color Filters (Configuration) works for me - by adding a new line with non-standard extension (such as *.mpz and I chose a very light grey text).
Thank you everyone.

Re: Filter out files (by selected extension) from List View
I tried the steps as above and it does work (delete from display). Windows 10 (when configured) showed certain files in BLUE . It would be useful to be able to display e.g. *.mpz files as say YELLOW . This may be better for me than actually removing files from display as originally requested. I trie...

Filter out files (by selected extension) from List View
Unless I have missed seeing this... Option to exclude files from List View - eg files of certain extensions (.mpz or other user selected). Whether to just not display these files (or print out as very light grey ) - which ever is easiest to code. The excluded list files would still be present in the...

Re: Listing Line Spacing less than -1?
@admin Tried (only) first option - while thumbnails (32x32) are still showing - View>Caches>Refresh Thumbnails fixes problem . R_noCache_without_filmstrip.PNG (No adverse effect doing this with 16x16 thumbs either!) I now also unticked Configuration>Preview>Thumbnails>Cache Thumbnails on disk for fu...

Unticked Film Strip Overlay
16x16 now seems to look OK BUT 32x32 .mp4 is cropped/translated (unless I did/omitted something wrong)
