There is an AutoBackup sub-dir.

I use the portable XY and save its whole Dir, excluding the thumbnails,
into a deduplicating ZPAQ archive.
This way I can restore any full version or file from the past.

There are too many different elements between XY settings and other file managers.
It would be wasting time trying to program such conversions.

The times are as usual.

I must admit that I also see no login in the Tabset behavior. Saving tabsets on exit is disabled. Auto-save tabsets on switch is disabled. Steps i tried: I save a certain state by using Tabsets / Save under the name Default After restarting XY, I change the tab paths on both sides to some other path...

No file manager does this
because there is no need at all for such a function.

Any chance we could get to populate said Toolbar by dragging shortcuts to it? Like in the old PowerDesk. Should be scriptable using a Droppable User Button. I don't see how that should work ? This is one of the missing functions in XY's Toolbar management. One should simply drop any file or folder ...

Look in the help under command line switches
and you will find the /ini switch

I did not use thumbnails for a long time
but I'm sure it was displaying the extensions,
and I never had hidden extensions.
What about having more options in the GUI for the thumbnails ?
Configuring all these by tweaks makes it hard, not only for newcomers.

There were some change for the thumbnail display in the last versions. I didn't follow them but when I now let it show thumbnails the file name is displayed below the picture but without the extension. In details view the full name is shown including the extension.
