Office 365 applications don't launch until XY loses focus?
I have a regular issue where I double click on a file with an associated Office 365 application (.docx, .pptx, .xlsx) in an XY window. Nothing happens until I Alt-tab or click on another window other than XY. Then the Office application opens a window with the file. It doesn't happen every time, but...

Re: Drag drop from desktop to XY not working
XY is running elevated? That's an interesting question. I was able to resolve the problem by closing XY and re-starting from the icon on the desktop. So the next questions are: 1) why would XY disable drag/drop if running elevated? 2) what would cause XY to run elevated? 3) is there any situation w...

Drag drop from desktop to XY not working
I recently updated to XY 24.90.
I'm pretty sure drag-drop used to work to XY, but now if I drag a file from the desktop, I can't drop it in a folder in XY.
The cursor becomes the slash/circle icon when over XY's window.
Is there a settings change I need to adjust?

Re: Can zip/rar files be handled as if they were directories?
Yes, this is something I need too. I had to disable XY as Default File Manager, and keep using Windows Explorer because of the need to navigate into ZIP files.

Re: Fast finding open tabs?
Hi All, This script has been extremely useful. One thing I find is I often need to open a tab in either the top pane or the bottom pane. I might have a matching tab available in both panes, but when I enter a search string, the resulting list of tabs displayed in this script doesn't distinguish. Is ...

Default folder for self-extracting EXE?
I have equipment that does firmware update with a USB drive. The instructions are to copy a self-extracting EXE to the USB drive, and run the EXE to extract the OS image files on a Windows or Linux computer, then insert the drive into the instrument and boot it with certain keys pressed. I opened my...

Re: Multi-threading for network drives?
Isn't this the same as https://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=21757&start=30 ? I don't think so --- the other thread is about a delay before an ultimately successful connection to a network resource. I'm talking about the specific case of the network resource becoming unavailable...

Re: Multi-threading for network drives?
Are there any workarounds for this behavior? Can these extremely long timeouts (which were probably necessary in the days of ISDN and frame relay WANs) be reduced? Is there any way to keep XY from locking up (application modal blocking) during the extended network timeout?

Re: Font Corruption or distortion?
I found the solution. In a previous post last week, I had a problem with display scale factor. The recommendation was: The best I can offer is (for Win10): - right-click XYplorer.exe - turn on "Override high dpi scaling" and set to "System Enhanced" That worked while the system w...

Font Corruption or distortion?
After the Windows Update this week (to Windows 10 Enterprise Version 1909 Build 18363.1500) the fonts in XYplorer are distorted - see attachment. I've tried zooming up with CTRL-wheel, and they get bigger but remain distorted. I changed the defaults to Calibri and Consolas and it didn't help either....

Multi-threading for network drives?
This is an issue for many Windows programs including XY Suppose XY has a tab referencing a folder on a network share, and that server has become unavailable since the last time it was accessed. If the user then clicks on the tab or a file in the folder, XY will become completely unresponsive and unu...

Display Scale Factor Issues
XYplorer 21.60.01 on Windows 10 (edit - just installed .60, and I see the same behavior) I have a 15" notebook with a 4K screen. When docked at my desk my primary monitor is a 40" monitor also 4K resolution. For proper display of sizes between the monitors, the scale of the large primary m...

Re: Fast finding open tabs?
I've got this script assigned to User Button 1 on the Toolbar. It works nicely - well done! I see there is an option to assign an Icon. Browse takes me to the XYexplorer folder, where there is a folder called Icons. However that folder is empty. Where do I find the icons that are used in the XY UI? ...

Fast finding open tabs?
I sometimes reach a point where I have 30-40 tabs open across the two panes. If I can't find the tab I need, I can easily open a new one, but then there are even more tabs open. In XY help, "Finding Tabs" refers to a tab with search results and a query associated with it. A very useful fea...
