Aha, my Dual Pane view shows that one connected network drive. If that is not reachable, the start of XY will take forever. Once, I replaced the connected network drive in one of the two panes with a local folder, XY starts quickly.

I got the same general issue but in another setting: I have one connected network drive on another machine. If that other machine is running, XY starts relatively quickly. However, if that other machine is not running and the connected network drive not reachable, XY takes forever to start. I've &qu...

I use Adobe Acrobat DC.
Searching that particular directory, including that specific PDF, with MS Windows File Explorer runs without freeze.

XYexplorer freezes once content search in a folder reaches a particular PDF. Only possible then to force quit XYexplorer through Task Manager. What is?

How to replicate the basic MS Windows File Explorer functionality to "Remember each folder's view settings"?
When enabled it automatically remembers every view modification, without any user input, it's not on a per folder basis like XY FVS but global.
