Re: XYplorer New Website Interface..

I also used an em dash instead of the double hyphen.

For interested people, a couple of nice readings...

Re: XYplorer New Website Interface..

May I suggest the use of proper typography for customer quotes? it's the very first thing that caught my eyes when I saw the new design.
And the Merriweather serif font just calls for it.

Re: Explorer Thumbnails - Images, videos, and possibly more

I needed thumbnails for *.epub files (on 64-bit Windows), and I followed Slavaon suggestion to use CBX Shell. Adding a note to say that to obtain the 32-bit DLLs, we can unpack the installer with innounp. Useful if we don't have a 32-bit Windows available to perform an auxiliary installation.

Re: Zip Folders (again)

Maybe not the answer you were looking for... anyway I use Pismo File Mount Audit Package to mount ZIP files (read only). It also mounts ISOs but I had a few incompatibilities there (still need a "classic" ISO mounter such as Daemon Tools to understand). Tried ZipMagic once but it was ugly ...

Re: Wipe command unresponsive on network folder

I tried a fresh install on my machine and indeed there's no unresponsiveness, only the "stuck" problem. I tried a fresh install on another machine and I had the problem :eh:

I attached a video to show what I see. I first deleted a folder via the shell and then using the wipe command.

Wipe command unresponsive on network folder

It seems that the wipe command applied to a network folder is a bit buggy/unresponsive, especially for the tree. If I wipe the folder, it's not removed from the tree but it behaves as a location not available, making XYplorer unresponsive for several seconds trying to access the nonexistant location...

Re: Odd Behavior, Part Deux

So, going forward, how would I "clear the stream" or actually change it (can I, and to what) so I don't run into this problem in the future. I found a program from MS called stream.exe. Would that work, or do you have a better suggestion? To delete a stream from a single file, I usually r...

Re: Odd Behavior, Part Deux

I think I can explain the behaviour... I don't know if it happen on every machine but on mine it would be the same (Windows 7 64 bit plus WinRAR). When we download for example a ZIP file from the internet, such as the XYplorer ZIP package, the file has an NTFS alternate data stream written on disk (...

Tags and letter case in network share name

I had some tagged files in a local hard disk and made a backup to a network share. XYplorer is set to copy tags on backup operations. After copy, browsing the network share I could not see the tags. Here's what's happened: the files were backupped to a folder with a name like \\Server\E\Video\ that ...

Re: XYplorer wont fire up on 2008 Server R2 64x

Just to add a note... today my XYplorer would not start with the same error Main: 481 - Invalid picture Even a moved XYplorer.exe to an empty folder would behave the same. Installed the latest version* and everything worked again, and also the same standalone XYplorer.exe that did not start before. ...

Re: Previewing Videos

Hello Ivan, playing and previewing videos (and other formats like for example .pdf) it's not only a matter of XYplorer and the OS version, it's really a problem where every system is somewhat different from another because there are some others software components involved that may be missing, misbe...

Re: can i open all the videos with vlc?

You can use the portable associations feature, Tools... > Customize File Associations Specify a new entry that looks like this example mpeg;avi;wmv>C:\path\to\vlc.exe Mpeg, avi and so on are all the extensions you would like to be played by VLC, separate them with a semicolon, then there is a greate...

Confirmed, if I rename XYcopy.exe to _XYcopy.exe it doesn't crash.

I have Windows 7 64 bit too, on XYplorer startup I see the busy cursor for maybe 10 seconds and then the message XYplorer stopped working (beta 0115).

Re: Can't build PDF thumb since v13.50.00xx

The thumbnails work again. The difference in my test system is now in the preview: in 13.50.00xx (xx < 13) the preview was an instance of the reader in the preview area; 13.60.0012 says "Preview created by the shell" instead. Edit: sorry, now preview works constantly in 13.60.0012 too. I h...
