Activation isn't working
I'm using Windows 11. I just downloaded version 23.90 and bought a license (actually my second or third "lifetime" license in over a decade of using this software, but that's a different story). I can't unlock the trial. Yes, I looked at the FAQ https://www.xyplorer.com/faq-topic.php?id=un...

Re: Mini Tree disappears when using slow network
That seems to help, thanks.
I can't believe I spent years getting frustrated over something that can be fixed by checking a box Although even after reading the help, I'm not sure what exactly this option does.

Mini Tree disappears when using slow network
I occasionally had this problem at the office, but it got worse now that I'm at home on VPN. So I think it's caused by network latency, although I can't prove it. Pretty much any time I add a file or a folder, I lose the entire mini tree under "Network." (EDIT: I mean that the "Networ...

Color filter and folders
I want to highlight Linux-style "hidden" folders that begin with a dot ".". So I made a color filter. The string is ".*". Works great for files, but not folders. I must be missing something really dumb, 'cause my other color filters do work for folders.

Re: Find lines in files
Yeah, I guessed as much.
On the other hand, I guess I could use XY search to find the files I want, copy them to a temporary folder, and then use N++ search. Or, if I wanted to be super-fancy, grab a list of the paths and run it into Python.

Find lines in files
Background : I want to figure out what Python packages all of my IPython notebooks import. What I know : How to find all files containing the word 'import'. I know that all of my notebooks contain this word, thank you very much. What I want : A list of the actual import lines. (I have 96 notebooks,...

Re: Search for links by target
Huh? I right-clicked on the column header, and I see a long list of available columns, but no "Select Special Property".

Re: Search for links by target
That's what I was looking for, but I don't see it. I opened the Custom Columns setup, but those are mostly for photos and audio files.

Re: Search for links by target
OK, that's not exactly what I want. I'm okay with changing the links manually (I expect there to be fewer than a dozen). Using the same $newDst for everything won't work, because the links may point to subfolders or files within folder X. :bug: I also want to see the individual changes, preferably b...

Re: Search for links by target
So this will actually retarget the links, right? This wasn't clear to me from your post.

Re: Search for links by target
Probably either that or right-drag and "create shortcut here." I'm willing to assume for the moment that they're all *.lnk files, if that's what you're getting at. There shouldn't be any hard links or other "power user" features.

Search for links by target
Use case: I want to move a folder (call it X), and I want to retarget any links that point to it. Tried approach 1: use the search tool to find links (*.lnk) targeting X. The search tool has no such feature. :( Tried approach 2: find all *.lnk and add a column to the search results tab to show the l...
