Re: sc Obfuscate

Am unable to find Obfuscate in the Manual of PDF. Is it found in there under some other name? That's work in process of a new feature... wait for the next full release with updated manual. Till then observe the forum and the Change Log at http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?p=125563#p125563 ...

Re: sc Obfuscate

Perhaps an improvement idea. Would be even more nifty if we could select the item we want to obfuscate. That way we can hide private thing but also show the list for example. Obfuscate,1,"all" Obfuscate,0,"List" Syntax: obfuscate [value], [object] , [bullet] or even Syntax: obfus...

Re: copy files in several folders

How do you like it to work?

Select one file and execute a script to copy it to always the same three folders?
or
Select one file and execute a script to be asked to copy it to "up to three different folders"?
or

Re: 'File | Rename Special" - want options on extension

Maybe introduce an own tag like [XY:flag] as part of the operation string. [XY:flag] is allowed only at begin of line and is removed before actual string manipulation. flag:     b : work on base only     e : work on extension only     c : case sensitive Example: [XY:bc](.*keep.*) > $1_ XYplorer will...

Ohh sorry, I just thought, simple something like "TimestampDiff=60" would be good for that issue.
This issue has been handled as well v14.80.0217. Hasn't it?
Ahh, I see now there is already something going on. Not tested yet, but *searchingformythumpdrive*.... later on.

Re: Smarter TimeStamp Detection

Do you think it would be good if the user can modify that 2 second value? It's better than revisiting this thing again in the future. xplorer2 did something like that too to avoid it happening. Obviously default is 2 seconds. I thought about this, but then I thought: One tweak less. It's easy to ad...

Re: Share your (XYplorer) Aliases

I am creating this thread so that anyone who uses aliases can share their codes with others. And optionally also usage instructions for the arguments. Some ideas: (Open "Tools > List Management > Aliases", copy the wanted alias in there, (without the ////-comments) close the dialog, press...

because my *non* multi-script script file is improperly indented. I've seen this a few hundred times since starting with XY, having no clue what it was for. ... I don't see how any newbie (or me, who's been *heavily* using XY for about a month now) could understand the meaning of this dialog. That'...

Re: Trial Version won't unlock even after accepting key

Hi daniel940 and welcome! I just purchased XYplorer, and received my license key. I've entered my name and license key, and receive the message "Thank You! Now click OK, then close the application and re-open it." Upon re-opening it, I get the nag screen again asking me to "Continue E...

And I thought the sub folders of the "Folder Name <digits>" folders have always the same identical name :ninja:

So flourgrader should clarify

Re: RegEx: fetching the rightmost pattern?

In this case, "$1" is not a real "replacement" but the back reference to the match which than will be returned instead of a replaced match? Right. IOW: I would say that "$1" is always the back reference, which often is used as replacement, or like here as cut-out proce...

Re: Delete Folder without deleting data files inside

Me think flourgrader means something like this: FROM: Main Folder > Folder Name 0001 > Folder ID > Files ... Main Folder > Folder Name 4000 > Folder ID > Files TO: Main Folder > Folder Name 0001 > Files ... Main Folder > Folder Name 4000 > Files DO: For each folder "Folder Name <digits>" -...
