This is a good workaround, thanks for posting the instructions. It means I can use XY again with Win 7 64-bit. I need my context menu! :) Is it possible to have this more closely integrated into XY though? It's clunky having to use so many mouse clicks to get to the 64-bit menu. Ideally it would be ...

Did you try it without quotes? I've set my permanent startup path to "My Computer" and it's in the ini file as StartPathPerm=My Computer

I can answer that myself, I just needed AutoOptimizeTree=1 and AutoOptimizeTreeRadical=1.

Unfortunately I don't like auto optimize when I'm working in a tree. Fussy fussy fussy...

Turns out the path for "My Computer" is "My Computer"

Next question, is it possible to open the new tab with all folders in the tree collapsed and only drive letters showing?

Is it possible to set a default path for new tabs?
Currently a new tab will open with the same path as the current tab, but I would prefer each new tab to open in My Computer.
