Re: 5+ years of free updates
For me it has been since the Tracker V3 days in 2005, I bought two Lifetime licenses since then, one for my former employer and when I left that job another one for myself. Fully agree with the OP's sentiments and liked the idea, so I transferred some :cup: /  money as well. Merry Christmas! ...

Re: Visual Filter Addition
Hey Justin, nice to hear from you after more than 2 years! :D Agreed! Where have you been hiding, Justin? We could have used your input in last 2 yrs on a few things so don't be a stranger, ok? I found a very nice rock to hide under! I'll try to pop in here more often, although you all seem t...

Re: Visual Filter Addition
Oh wow, this feature is great! I love it. Thank you. I have been a XYplorer user for quite a few years...since the TrackerV3 days (is that the right name? lol). I still get the betas every few weeks but haven't posted in the forums for quite a long time. Then today I come in here and see this cool n...

Re: Need help troubleshooting network slowness
If the extension is .exe or .dll there is significant lag between when I click on the file and when it actually gets selected and XY is responsive. Have you got XYplorer.exe and XYcopy.exe in your exclusions list for your anti-virus? That seemed to have been the key! I'm using Microsoft's Security ...

Re: Need help troubleshooting network slowness
click on large files??? A single click does not do much... :? Try to turn off File Info Tips... Show file info tips was checked...but In networked locations as well was not. I turned off file info tips anyway but that made no difference. Interesting, the file's extension seems to matter. If the ext...

Need help troubleshooting network slowness
I've been a long time XYplorer user. Unfortunately I'm having network slowness issues. They started cropping up several months ago, but I never took the time to stop and troubleshoot it. I'm putting this in the quesions & answers forum because I know Don has written some speedy network code, so ...

Re: Mouse-hover to select, Single-click to activate?
Also why single-click on Tree changes location, but it takes a dbl-click on List. All makes sense to me. Can you imagine the confusion : one-click to launch/open, but Ctrl(/Shift)+Click to select. Or do we loose those features? Ctrl+Hover? Yeah, whatever it is, I don't care, it's not for me. Ahhhh,...

Re: Mouse-hover to select, Single-click to activate?
This same request was requested WAAAAAAYYYYY back in 2005 , when XYplorer was called TrackerV3! Ahhhh, the memories. Anyway, I still think hover-to-select single-click-to-launch is a superior way to work in a file manager for many people, so I guess I'm casting a vote (if it matters) for this featur...

Re: Tail option for Raw View
The autorefresh is working already. All that's needed is the [ ] Tail option. Is [ ] Tail the usual name for this kind of thing? Tail is a very common term for this type of thing....the purpose is to follow the tail (end) of the file (usually a log file). *nix has the "tail" command that ...

Re: Syntax coloring for free editor Proton
Now, the syntax files for PSPad in LL (initially created by JustinF, who btw seems to have disappeared from this forum) were a bit outdated. Oh, I'm still here...I lurk the forums pretty much every morning. I just don't have anything interesting to say. Regarding the PSPad syntax files...I ju...

Re: Tear off tabs to create new instance of XYplorer
It could be used along with Windows 7's new "Snap" feature, as reported here: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4305 It could give those of us using Windows 7 a quick way to have dual-pane, dual-tree! Drag a tab to a new instance of XY, then drag XY to the edge of the sc...

Re: setting "LockTree"?
Just use settingp (think "permanent") if you want it to "stick," otherwise that setting is only valid during the execution of the script (it then returns to whatever was set before). Thank you, thank you! I saw settingp, but I didn't occur to me that setting it permanently was a...

setting "LockTree"?
I'm finally starting to use the Mini Tree feature. I found out that I can save Mini Trees in the Catalog via the Insert as New Item(s) Here | Current Mini Tree . Awesome! I'd also like to be able to lock the tree after selecting one of my Mini Trees. I figured "easy!!" via calling the sett...

Re: OT (a bit): Relaunch of website -- man or women?
As much as I'd like to look at that female every time I came to your site, for me the man makes more sense. He _looks_ like an explorer ---> xyplorer.
That being said, I don't know that having a face on the page would be the deciding factor between buying a license or not.

Re: clickable paths
But you can. Just try T.C. (or x²) - any directory in the path will list the sub-directories. So with a path of "j:\2008\November\12\", displayed in the pane header, by clicking on "j" gives a list of 2007, 2008, 2009....; on 2008 gives April, August, December... etc... all with...
