Re: XY is very slow to open files now
And I need feedback from Demset whether the latest fix works for him as it worked for LittleBiG . If you mean 11.30.0004, the fix you provided there has no effect for me. As with Mesh, the earlier tweak fixes the delay for loading files, but the context menu still has the same delay. I can confirm ...

Re: Tab settings and their usage?
I would just set that tab as the Default tab, and always leave it up. Personally, I don't use tabs, so this works well for me. I set up the default tab exactly how I like it, and then just go to dual pane mode if I need to work with two locations at once.

Re: Upgrade full screen preview for images?
I'd like to request the ability to zoom using the plus and minus keys and to have a keyboard shortcut that allows me to switch between fit to screen and 100%.
I saw in another thread a request to be able to pan with the mouse if we're zoomed in - that would be nice as well.

Re: XY is very slow to open files now
Okay, I came to say that I was able to reproduce this as well. Running Windows 7 64 bit, if it matters. The older versions are instantaneous for file loading or context menus through XY, but the versions equal or newer to the one you mentioned are very slow and laggy. The tweak definitely fixes the ...

Re: Change to Status Bar text when adding jobs
I love it!
I've found myself adding jobs and then wondering if XY added it successfully or not. I don't exactly keep count of which job # was last used.
This would make things a lot easier to read, and give appropriate information so that the message is actually useful.
Count me in.

Re: Remove 2 pixel borders within both the panes and tree?
I can't say I agree. I'd argue that the padding is necessary so that you don't have text melting into the edges of the panes. You need some padding, and I think it's perfect as is. I wouldn't want to see that dissappear.

Besides, if you'd rather have them swapped, just do it yourself via customizing the KB shortcuts.

Re: Ability to live delete drop down history
I absolutely second this. I run into this particular annoyance all the time, but I didn't think about how it could be done easier. The live delete would be fantastic!

Re: File/folder coloring for Background Jobs
I really like this idea. I'm always doubting whether or not something really did get added to the queue. Even the status bar notification just says that something was added, but it doesn't give details. Coloring the files/folders in the queue would keep me from wondering if I clicked/dragged the wro...

Re: The name "Status View"...
Let's once again clarify those counts, in case they were lost in the sea of words that have been exchanged. 1. "File Operations Status" -- both you and Mesh see no need for an apostrophe for it to be "File Operations' Status". I have put forward my argument that, since possessiv...

Re: The name "Status View"...
I am happy to extend a handshake of truce as long as that won't be highlighted by certain users as a sign of me admitting defeat or an attempt to save face. I wouldn't consider a truce an admission of defeat. However, for what it's worth, I believe you are wrong on both counts (of the apostrophe is...

Re: The name "Status View"...
As I feel that I am going around in circles with Mesh, I just don't have the time to reply to those long-winded answers  No, I am not dodging, thank you very much. I've been reading this discussion with a sense of awe and a tub of popcorn. You made a number of bold statements, which Mesh refu...

Re: Scripting Requests
I wonder whether it would be easier to have XY's scripting use Javascript as it's core language. That would address most of these issues, and take issues of language syntax out of Don's need to recalculate, now and then. UltraEdit's scripting works that way, and it makes things tidy, yet flexible. ...

Re: Scripting Requests
I was wondering if there had been any progress in regards to this wishlist. Working with XY's scripting, I found myself wishing for the exact same list of items. But I've been inactive for scripting for a little while, so I don't know if any of this has been addressed or not.
