Re: tree view doesnt stay constant for each tab
ok I did not realise there are two "panes" with multiple tabs in each. I'll have a play with this concept.

Re: tree view doesnt stay constant for each tab
how can tabs not be on different panes? each tab defines a pane doesnt it?? I dont use duel panes, they dont really work for the same reason, you dont have a separate tree for each pane. a "real" duel pane functionality would fix this issue, and make XPLorer hugely more functional. Tabs ju...

tree view doesnt stay constant for each tab
Suppose some will say this is a feature and not a bug, but as far as I'm concerned there is no point in having multiple tabs if the tree view doesnt act independantly for each tab. e.g tab 1 on J:\Application_Data\XYplorer\ all other drives collapsed now switch to tab 2 and select: K:\Install\ACDSee...

Run script on 'Mark-toggle Favourite folder'
I use the "Mark-toggle favourite folder" rightclik menu, which is great, but that only works in XYPlorer. I want these favourite folders to be available in all my other appliciatons File open/save dialog boxes. So what I want to do is create a script that runs when I toggle the favourite f...

Yep I agree
"what we are talking about (and want) is "to make this automatic by just selecting a tab", by (XY-internal) remembering a tree-layout per tab. "

Re: Tab folders expanding automatically
peterH, I rhink your've missed the point.
Whats neeeded is for the previous tree view that was on the tab when you left it to be automatically restored when you go back to it. nothing to save and load, it just does it automatically so each tabs tree view is unique.

Re: Tab folders expanding automatically
Lock Tree doent help as it locks the tree for all tab. But it has helped me to understand the limitations of the tree. There is only one tree thats shared on all tabs, thats why its not stable when switching tabs. The first "fix" should be for the tree view (which folders are expanded and ...

Re: Tab folders expanding automatically
Come on, are you all telling my this doesnt drive you mad as well? Why dosent the tree in each tab stay fixed on the view when you change off and back on to the tab? I'll describe the problem a little clearer. tab1 J:\Techwork_Data\DB\Pollution\RDC\ folder in the tree list has the focus, all other d...

Tab folders expanding automatically
The thing I hate most about XYPlorer is that fact that when you change form one tab to another, the second tab always expands the folder structure down to where you were on the first folder. The whole point of having multiple tabls is to keep separate file/folder structures for the different areas o...
