Using "?:\" notation in address bar for portable install
Hello, I am using XYplorer on a USB thumbdrive, with alias set to quickly access some folder on it. As the drive letter is subject to change, I thought I could use the "?:\" notation, like in the Portable File Association. However, it seems that the ? is replaced with the current folder dr...

Re: XYplorer hangs up when the list contains big files
Yes, I used the revert function of the XYplorer Automatic Updater script. I am starting to think this might be caused by a third party software, like Alcohol 52%, because I had no problem navigating in my steam backup folder, containing lots of several gigabytes files. I'll try to investigate some m...

Preview and Quick File View: Ability to view locked files
Hi, I noticed Preview and Quick File View functionalities do not work when the file is already open by another application. When I try to preview/quick view one of these in XY, I get an error message "Could not open file." As previewing is read only, I think XYplorer should be able to get ...

Re: Tough words about GUI
Just a word about the use of the ellipsis (...) in XYplorer, I think it is pretty consistent. It's a common UI convention to use ellipsis when a command will need further informations from the user, usually by means of a dialog window. I couldn't find an example where this wasn't the case for XYplor...

<curbase> remove "extension" on folder
I think there is a bug with the <curbase> variable : Create a folder with a name like "example.com-2009" Select this folder and run a script like "msg(<curbase>)" The message box content is "example", whereas it should be "example.com-2009" Using XYplorer 8.70...

Re: Another 7-zip script
WARNING : There was a bug in the last release making the script do nothing for small filepath (:-/). it's corrected now. About the ". in folder name bug", I have already found the cause. I am using the <curbase> internal variable to get the basename of the current item when doing 1 archiv...

Re: Another 7-zip script
Okay, your suggestions made sense + were easy = it's done
About the ". in folder name" bug, it should already skip the "remove extension" part for folder, but I guess it doesn't work correctly...
I'll have a look.

Move To and "?:\" path
Hello, I am using "Move To" command to move files on my USB drive, using the "?:\" syntax so I don't bother to change the letter when on a different PC. It works fine, but if I use the last used locations that are just below "Browse for more destinations...", XYplorer s...
