Intermittent hangs

I've noticed XY will often hang for a few dozens of seconds, to minutes, if any network resources aren't available. For instance, I have some mapped network drives, which are mapped to \\machinename\share\. When I'm at the office, this machine is visible just fine and XY works as expected. However, ...

Re: Search results request

So it's been a bit over a year since this topic was discussed. Any chance this feature can move higher up in the priority list?

Thanks,
D

Re: XYplorer 64-bit?

Just searched the forums for any word on a native 64-bit version of XY and found this thread.

Want to add my vote for a native version. Hopefully we can get it before 2011. That's a whole 6 months away. The agony! :P

Got it, thanks. I always seem to mis-understand you... don't know why that is.

Re: Search results request

OK. Do you have a link to your roadmap? Also, how would you envision doing it and what is wrong (out of curiousity) with the given suggestions?

Re: Search results request

Take the existing Search results tab and split it into two sections, using a splitter... the top will be the current search results... the bottom will be a file viewer, which will show the contents of the selected file in the search results. Basically, you just need a text viewer somewhere and the a...

Search results request

I use XY as my tool to grep w/in files and I am quite happy with it's speed and feature set. However, it is missing something which other search tools have.... the ability to view "inside" the file to see the match. You often want to know what the match is in addition to knowing the fact t...

Re: Option to disable "Show Icon Overlays" for network locations

I can't remember a time where I have wanted to view TortoiseSVN overlays for files in a network location. If I really wanted to, I would turn on that option in TortoiseSVN's preferences window. That option is off, btw, although XY still seems to be searching for overlays in network locations. I'm gu...

Option to disable "Show Icon Overlays" for network locations

It would be super duper swell to have a sub-option for Show Icon Overlays which will not show overlays for network locations (similar to the "In network locations as well" sub-option for Auto-Refresh). Showing icon overlays, while a wonderful and completely indispensable feature, really ca...

I don't have that file in my Synaptics folder either. Any ini files in that folder or sub-folders have nothing like what is described in those links.

I've got a relatively new Dell laptop (~ 6 mo. old).

Man, this is bumming me out! I got all excited for a fix...

This issue still drives me nuts at least once a day. Any chance it can get looked at again? Anything I can do to help you debug it?

Ah. That's right. I forgot about that little trick of hovering over the taskbar icon to bring the window you are targeting to the foreground. Thanks! That is a good enough workaround.

Drag/drop from XY to another Window

I've asked for this a while back, but it was never addressed, and it's a cool enough feature about Explorer that I wish XY had it... If you click on a file/folder in an Explorer Window to drag/drop it to some other window, and the Explorer window with the files you are dragging is behind the window ...
