Re: Drive letter missing from tab caption for folders directly under root, in secondary pane
Thanks for the explanation. If you ever have time to add a preference for this, it's definitely something I would use.

Re: Please add an "Apply" button to Configuration modal.
No extra AV or other weird stuff installed. I even turned off Windows Defender to see if that would help. And like I mentioned, the huge difference is also noticeable in a VM with *no* extra software installed - just the Microsoft defaults. (And if the config window even takes 2 seconds for you, you...

Re: Please add an "Apply" button to Configuration modal.
Thank you for considering it. As for the time it takes to open the config window, I just measured it more accurately, and it took just under 4 seconds. I'm sadly forced to use the OS abomination known as Windows 10, which greatly slows down an otherwise nicely functional machine. The same laptop run...

Drive letter missing from tab caption for folders directly under root, in secondary pane
(This only affects the secondary pane, whether vertical or horizontal. But if I "swap panes", then the problem will appear on the top pane instead of the bottom pane.) I have "Full Path" chosen for the Tab Captions option in the Configuration window (and clicking on Custom shows ...

Auto-select file in download folder when opening folder from browser
When I download a file in a browser such as Chrome, and choose the browser option to open the folder containing the file, XYplorer only opens to the folder. In normal Explorer, the file itself is selected. Can that be done with XYplorer also? It's very useful, especially when the download folder has...

Re: Please add an "Apply" button to Configuration modal.
An "Apply" button is only supposed to let you make changes without having to close the window; there is no expectation that you can undo any of those changes via Cancel (you can see that with probably any other program that has an Apply button; once you've clicked Apply, you cannot just Ca...

Re: "New" item missing from context menu for folder backgrounds
Yup. And I'll stick with CEA_ListRightClickOnWhite=1 since the custom menu items are more important to me than the "New" menu. But for some reason at that time yesterday I wasn't getting my custom items with CEA_ListRightClickOnWhite=1. But I am now...

Re: "New" item missing from context menu for folder backgrounds
Oh wow, I think I am seriously sleep deprived! Crazy what that does to one's memory... And yes, when I originally made the suggested "CEA_ListRightClickOnWhite=1" change, it did fix the problem. Somehow, that broke today. But this is *really* weird: I just renamed my XYplorer.ini to go bac...

Re: "New" item missing from context menu for folder backgrounds
Yes, I was just about to post a followup that it's because I had CEA_ListRightClickOnWhite=1 instead of =0. But I don't think I set that myself, unless it can be done somewhere in the UI. I have no recollection of seeing that before. However, I just noticed that no matter which setting I'm using (CE...

Re: "New" item missing from context menu for folder backgrounds
I'm attaching a screenshot (and yes it is Win 10; I just have a classic OS theme to get somewhat less ugly UI): No 'New' context menu item for folder background.png But this is really weird. If I rename my XYplorer.ini so I'm back to the defaults, then it works as long as I do a real right-click. If...

Re: "New" item missing from context menu for folder backgrounds
I just upgraded to 20.10.0005 but it still happens. I saw that other post about another "New" issue, but that seemed to be related to toolbar buttons or something like that.

"New" item missing from context menu for folder backgrounds
The "New" item is missing from the context menu when right-clicking the background of a folder view in XYplorer. It does not matter whether the option is selected to show the 64-bit menu. I hope this can be fixed, because it's actually something I use quite often. I will tap the context me...

Re: UNC path from Run dialog opens in File Explorer
Oh, okay. When you said the Recycling Bin issue would be fixed, I thought maybe this one also. Thanks though.
