go to windows settings, apps ->default apps. click reset all default apps. then reopen the file and select your app and choose always. it wont ask again. edit: i see david said the correct answer in july but some people still didnt get it for some reason.

hey guys i seem to have figured this out. xyplorer gets slower and slower the bigger i make the font size using ctrl+wheel. if i keep the font size small its quite responsive. very odd
