Re: ZIP option in context menu

What's confusing here is that WinZIP and PowerZIP are both 32 bit apps, so they should show in XYPlorer, no? Actually, when I double checked this, I realize I don't have "PowerZIP", I have "PowerArchiver". But it is indeed 32 bits as well. So why don't they workk in XYPlorer, and...

ZIP option in context menu

For some reason, XYPlorer hasn't been showing any ZIP options in the file Context menu. I am pretty sure it used to, at least a long time ago, and maybe on a different computer. I am running Vista 64. I have two ZIP programs installed: Winzip 11 (or whatever the latest is), and PowerZIP (also latest...

Thanks! I would have never thought to click on those fields. In fact, I was a bit hung up with properties menu rather than the properties panel, mainly because that's how other utilities I had used worked in the past. I also looked in the properties dialog, but it was the regular windows dialog, and...

Touch!

I'd love to see a touch feature (the ability to right click on a group of files, and change their time/date stamp to the current time.

It's very useful for developers, possibly others.

Here's another wish that I now see might make sense... Please don't post any wish that happens to cross your mind in this poll  Let me repeat the initial questions: (1) What single feature do you miss most in XYplorer? (2) What single feature do you think others miss most in XYplorer? 1) My w...

Surrender, thanks for your response. In Windows, F5 refreshes WHATEVER is the current focus, e.g., the folder tree, the file pane, the browser window, etc. The nice thing about such a context sensitive solution, in addition to it being standard, is that it's easy to remember that key works "uni...

Common windows shortcut keys with Explorer

My biggest issue with XYPlorer, which I otherwise love is that I can not become a power user because it chooses its own shortcut keys, even for standard functions like Reload. This causes me to stumble as my fingers naturally use the standard shortcuts and I have to try to remember the XY specific o...

Nope, it doesn't work (including second step). It can't. TV3 doesn't have native 'archive' support -- yet... If it did it would have been able to 'browse' the contents of the archive. In explorer there is a bult in association to view contents of such files (though they are treated as files+ *speci...

Drag-N-Drop - Not drop target

I unzip files using Winzip and ALZip. When you try to drop files from a zip onto tracker, you get an error. You have to open up an explorer window instead. But tracker is supposed to "replace" explorer, so it should work as a drop target. Another operational difference between Explorer/Tra...
