Re: XYPlorer is opening the wrong configuration file
Well they're both in the same directory -- so it solved the problem either way. BUT... no -- I always backup Config.ini; should I be backing up this instead: XYplorer.ini -- or perhaps both? It would appear I've been backing up the wrong file for years. On occasion though, I backup the whole directo...

Re: XYPlorer is opening the wrong configuration file
Go > "Go to Application data folder" = C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer\ ... So it was already pointed at the correct directory. File > Settings Special > "Load Configuration..." > and pointed it to this: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer\Config.ini That fixed ...

XYPlorer is opening the wrong configuration file
Somehow my XYPlorer is suddenly opening a version of its configuration that is a very old backup. I'm not sure how this is happening. I have multiple backups of both these files: - xyplorer.ini - Config.ini I have them in two locations: - C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer\ - Documents\PC CO...

You're the best... this software has not only transformed my productivity -- but made computing fun again. I wish I had found it many years ago.

Correct; fearful to upgrade ... don't want to break the rocker (use it dozens of times per day).

Re: Multiple renaming actions on copied files
Wow, 10yo post and just made my life incredible. I have CTRL+D mapped to "Copy Here With Current Date" but I do this many times a day, and have always manually affixed the Time Stamp in the format... so instead of this: filename.docx-20231005 I could get this: filename.docx-20231005 16-59 ...

Re: XYplorer runs (in the background) but does not show
It is interesting though, that if I reinstall XYPlorer immediately after rebooting, it launches instantly. Even when Fastboot is disabled on Windows and BIOS.

Re: XYplorer runs (in the background) but does not show
So after a lot of configuring, research, and testing, I think my primary issue may be fast boot. Here's what my testing has revealed: Fast Boot - Disabled in Bios Fast Boot - Disabled in Windows 11 Pro Power Shutdown (hard boot) XYPlorer Load Time ~10 minutes Power Restart (warm boot) XYPlorer Load ...

Re: [ctb] view rocker - cycle views
Indeed... that's exactly what I'm wondering. What is the change, and is it going to affect all future versions of XYPlorer?

Re: XYplorer runs (in the background) but does not show
Boy, this is tricky as I can't discover a pattern. The problem is that once it finally works, it keeps working until a reboot. And I can't figure out why it suddenly starts working. It seems that if I wait 10 - 15 minutes after a reboot, it will launch every time, sometimes sooner than that. Can't f...

Re: Blurry Thumbnails - Best Rez for Thumbnail Sizes on a 4K Monitor?
I just emailed you two pics, but it may be moot... I did indeed switch the quality to "Smooth"... but they still looked distorted (I did refresh the thumbnails and they looked high quality, but still distorted). But just now, I tried switching the quality to High Speed > Refresh > back to ...
