Re: Preview Videos Issue

Hi and welcome,

Can you post your XYplorer and Windows version? If your XYplorer version is not 20.80.0200, can you upgrade to it via Help > Online Support > Check for Updates?

Re: Explorer like filter(s)

I'm guessing you're using a recent Windows 10 version? In 1903, I see what you probably mean in details view in Windows Explorer. It's admittedly nifty and Excel-like, and given XYplorer's option to show the sort header in all views, could be powerful. By way of an example, see the attached screensh...

Re: Putting Win 7 to sleep

If you have the Sysinternals suite installed (highly recommended) with its folder added to the path, you can use the psshutdown command:

Code: Select all

psshutdown -d -t 0
Edited to add: The button command would then be:

Code: Select all

run "psshutdown -d -t 0";

Re: Search against 'This PC' not including network drives

I don't think there's an automatic way, but you can specify multiple locations by opening the Info Panel > Find FIles > Name & Location, and then enabling Selected Locations. This way, you can add multiple locations separated by a |, e.g.: C:\|D:\|N:\|O:\ XYplorer will remember 64 patterns according...

Re: New Favorite List Position

Not as far as I know. You can however edit the Favorites through Tools > List Management > Favorite Folders, including sorting and manually moving.

Show product name and version for .msi files

XYplorer currently doesn't show product name or product version (if columns for these properties are added) for .msi files but only for .exe files, just like Windows Explorer. When wading through a folder of installers, it would be useful if product name and version were shown for .msi files as well?

Re: Jobs not completing

Can you post a screenshot of Tools > Configuration > File Operations?

Separately, you have fully installed XYplorer in your OneDrive folder, including XYcopy.exe?

Re: file icons

I can't get filemarker icons to display in XYplorer either, unfortunately. AFAIK at least xplorer2 uses a lot of Windows Explorer-functionality in its list (and tree), whereas XYplorer uses a custom hand-coded list. It may be that filemarker uses functionality that only works in Windows Explorer lis...

Re: file icons

You may have Tools > Configuration > Refresh, Icons, History > Icons > Use generic icons for super-fast browsing, enabled?

You could try disabling Tools > Configuration > Previewed Formats > Categories > Office Files?

You could try Tools > Configuration > Menus, Mouse, Usability > Mouse > Single-click to open an item, which you can modify with the option underneath: On the icon only.

Re: Copy options

Often when I'm copying (especially to a USB stick) there are already things there and I only find out when I come back to my PC and find out the copying has stopped waiting and is waiting for my input. What I think would be a nice feature is to have the capability or specifying the options (eg skip...
