Re: Session Manager [v7.00] — Bookmark your environments: locations and/or display (tabsets and layout)
I think this bug has something to do with the status of the XYplorer window (maximized or not), because after maximizing or restoring the window, the error ceased to appear.

Re: Session Manager [v7.00] — Bookmark your environments: locations and/or display (tabsets and layout)
Suddenly, whenever I try to change sessions, I get this error from XYplorer: Error: 384 (0x00000180) Desc: A form can't be moved or sized while minimized or maximized Dll: 0 Proc: script_Process: winpos Source: XYplorer XY ver: XYplorer 24.20.0000 - Lifetime License Enterprise OS: Windows 10 Pro, 64...

Re: AutoHotKey script to get the path to the selected file
If you want to do this while the XYplorer window is active , you can just save the clipboard, send Ctrl+P, read the clipboard (it will contain the full path and filename) and restore the clipboard. If you want to do this while the XYplorer window is not active , you can try using CtrlSend to send th...

Re: Problem with Paper Folders
I mean, the text file at first includes just the names of the folders... the fact that it's a text file doesn't mean the paper folder NEEDS to be static. It's just a file format. But thanks for confirming the static nature of paper folders. I find the virtual folders feature very confusing. Is there...

Problem with Paper Folders
Hi all! I've decided to give Paper Folders a try, because they sound like the perfect solution for my workflow. Only... they don't seem to behave as I expected. The idea is that I need to process some image files and documents and move them around. I have a base folder with lots of image files and t...

Re: Do you like the new application icon?
No, but it was useful to me because the old icon is chromatically similar to that of another app I use often (MusicBee) and I kept confusing them.
Now we're back to that scenario, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Reinstate middle click preview behaviour
What do you mean? That setting does nothing? But it did solve the problem in my case. I swear!
EDIT: I reverted the setting to 0 out of curiosity, and the undesired behaviour is back. I re-reverted it, and it got corrected. So it's not a placebo.

Re: Reinstate middle click preview behaviour
Yes, that was it! At least, I think it was. I looked for that tweat and it's very recent so it would explain the change in behaviour. I changed it and now the middle click works as before.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Reinstate middle click preview behaviour
Hi! I don't know if this is a bug or not, so I'm putting it down as a wish. Up until a couple betas ago, when I middle-clicked on a document in XYplorer, a small preview window appeared letting me peek at its contents, and then, middle-clicking outside that window made it close. This was a very fast...

THAT WAS IT!!!
For some reason I thought that redirecting my typing to the live filter box was the opposite of what I wanted, so I left it unchecked.
Thank you so much!

Type ahead find: I can't remember how I had it set up
I had a catastrophic Windows 8.1 failure and I had to install Windows 10 and reinstall all my software, XYplorer included. I'm back on track on almost everthing, but a behaviour I relied on constantly has changed and for the life of me, I can't remember what setting I need to touch in order to get i...

Re: Slow startup 20 seconds on fast laptop
Reporting back again: I got an error about the Mini Tree taking long to load (in a new session) because some path not existing anymore. I unchecked "Check existence of subfolders in tree" and now loading is instantaneous once more. I even disabled the Mini Tree and XYplorer loads fast with...

Re: Slow startup 20 seconds on fast laptop
Reporting back: using the mini tree sped up the loading time DRAMATICALLY. It's almost instantaneous now.

Re: Slow startup 20 seconds on fast laptop
Thank you for your reply! I cleaned up the mruBrowse section as you said. It didn't have a noticeable effect. It still takes over 50 seconds to load XYplorer, and the "Various Information" window still lists every folder and subfolder. I think I'll experiment with the mini tree setting. I'...

Re: Slow startup 20 seconds on fast laptop
I have the same problem, but in my case the issue is that the list brought up by "Various Information" is full of "Load Folder..." lines enumerating what appears to be every single folder and subfolder in my computer. Is this normal? I think most people have lots of folders in th...
