Re: Windows 11 keeps asking "Select an app to open this .JPG file"
Well it seems the current userbase (well, the ones in the forum anyway), aren't too interested in the fact that XYplorer doesn't work well with the built-in Photos app. Well, the current status is now slightly different (whether that's due to the way 24.80 works or due to an update to the Photos app...

Re: Windows 11 keeps asking "Select an app to open this .JPG file"
So the summary is: if you want XYplorer to open image files in the default, built-in app in Windows 11 called 'Photos', you cannot have it do so without an annoying prompt each time asking what application you want to use. In other words, on a new, fresh, healthy installation of Windows 11, (like ma...

Re: Some folders no longer have icons on the tabs
Yes, I can confirm, it is caused by the iPhone being connected. When I make sure to disconnect my iPhone, then all the icon problems go away.

Re: Some folders no longer have icons on the tabs
Right, hold on, my iPhone actually is charging via my PC. I thought my testing earlier was without it connected. Let me do some tests with and without it connected...

Re: Some folders no longer have icons on the tabs
It actually affects ALL the folders within the user profile directory. I've just given a few examples so far. It even affects ordinary folders that I've created myself, which just have a normal folder icon. Anything that I browse to, using the short path, within the user profile folder, is affected....

Re: Some folders no longer have icons on the tabs
Out of ideas at the moment. :| Does my previous reply about locked tree not help with figuring out what's happening? To summarize, with the default tree the folder icons are missing only from the breadcrumb bar, and with a locked tree the folder icons are missing from the breadcrumb bar and the tab...

Re: Some folders no longer have icons on the tabs
FYI, these are the standard icons on Windows 11, as seen in File Explorer (I thought you had a Win 11 system??):

Re: Some folders no longer have icons on the tabs
It's the standard icon in Windows 11. I haven't customized anything. But the same issue applies for other folders within the user profile like OneDrive, iCloudDrive, etc. By the way, I've just figured out why in my main instance the icon is also missing from the tab header. It's got to do with locke...

Re: Some folders no longer have icons on the tabs
There is no 25.00. I assume you mean 24.50. But nobody else reported it. And 24.50 is from 2023-06-06. So something rare must be happening on your system. Do we need to wait for another user to try to access a folder using a short path, or do you think you can manage it? Can you post a screenshot o...

Re: Some folders no longer have icons on the tabs
Sorry, I meant 24.50. The bug was introduced between 24.40.0200 and 24.50.
