Toolbar offers lots of flexibility, even without vector based icons. Customized it by using User Buttons for all required commands and applying the 'Extra Large' toolbar setting. I used letters where it is difficult to remember the meaning of the icon (for example Open With).

What are the reasons for prioritising the look of the list over sync and CEAs? I guess priorities are different for everybody. For me all the options for customizing lists and other parts of the user interface are extremely useful because it allows me to make it look exactly like I want it to look....

This configuration flag has no impact on the icon overlay. However, I found a OneDrive setting that caused the problem. By changing this setting I was able to correct the display behavior. Folders/Files synched to OneDrive have Shortcut Overlay
I have installed the evaluation version of XYplorer. My main files are in a subfolder that is synchronized to OneDrive. All folders and files in that subfolder have a shortcut overlay. Can that be removed? I couldn't find anything in Configuration. In Windows Explorer I don't have these overlays.
