LOL! The gdiplus from filesearching is not the problem (tho that's a known 'hackery' site) This is: mrx wrote: I am using 98lite IE removed etc Some dependencies such as mshtml.dll, urlmon.dll (to name a few..) are gone and probably others that TV3 needs... Nope, it doesn't work (including second step). It can't. TV3 doesn't have native 'archive' support -- yet... If it did it would have been able to 'browse' the contents of the archive. In explorer there is a bult in association to view contents of such files (though they are treated as files+ *specia...

Re: Drag-N-Drop - Not drop target
When you try to drop files from a zip onto tracker, you get an error. You have to open up an explorer window instead. But tracker is supposed to "replace" explorer, so it should work as a drop target. Interesting... I tried to reproduce it and this is what got: I have a zipped folder. In ...

Re: [control panel] [map net drive] issues (TV3\4.0118-WinME
could you test this run command for me (it is supposed to work under 9x/ME): Yup, did earlier... rundll32.exe User, wnetconnectdialog Works in ME as expected rundll32.exe shell32.dll,SHHelpShortcuts_RunDLL Connect Works in xp AND ME as expected.. (And probably all others...) The culprit was the extr...

[control panel] [map net drive] issues (TV3\4.0118-WinME*)
-WinME -no network drive.. RC my computer and/or My net places does invoke the proper window, (but -of-course net logon is required to proceed...) However, TV3 reports: - RUNDLL Error in shell32.dll Missing entry (The 'net use' cmd in ME runs properly and prompts for the required net logon.) While c...

Extract text from binary... No unicode?
I'm not sure if it's a bug or 'as designed' but I noticed it in several files. If the binary contains mixed Ansi/Uni tracker would extract the Ansi only. If only Uni it displays: 'no text found' Simple example are all files in prefetch folder (inc. layout.ini). I'm not sure how that text extraction ...

Duplicate "Track..." context menu?!
Odd issue in WinME, don't recall noticing it before. "Track..." menu appeared twice in latest 0054. The probable cause is that 'file/folder' concept is different there. I digged in the registry and there were no duplicates there, still tracker appears twice on folders, but once on special ...

Re: Selecting "My network places" in tree generate
TV3 does not support FTP, so it's kind of ok if it does not show links to ftp-resources. The ftp demo was used as sample only! I did not expect it to connect, just show the contents of the folder w/o crashing or generating errors. However, it's not ok if it generates errors. Exzzzactly! Prob...

Re: Selecting "My network places" in tree generate
Well, whatever, there should be no errors/crashes anymore (see latest BETA). Back again, in the right place this time. I sort of figured it out... No network resources as in "workgroup", but neither tracker beta or release are able to read that folder properly. http://www10.brinkst...

Edit:
After deleting all 'dead' shortcuts from my network places,
tracker eventually connected to: \\Www.msnusers.com
Which I assume was cached somewhere previously..
However, this is with v360 which doesn't generate any
of the errors mentioned above.
