Use Xyplorer to completely replace other Photo Tagging and organizing software.
I have used Lightroom and other photo cataloging software and while very powerful, it's more convenient to use xyplorer if one main feature was improved. Most people don't need Adobe Lightroom and other sophisticated software because we don't have hundreds of thousands of pictures. I have a reasonab...

Re: Relative To Tags Database - Not displaying tags
Great! In initial testing, it seems to be working well. I will continue to keep using and testing this feature and let you know if I find something else.

Re: Relative To Tags Database - Not displaying tags
OK, the capitlization problem has been fixed. There still seems to be a problem with relative tags that's exhibiting the same behavior of tags not showing up. My setup has 2 computers:: desktop:: admin.ini [Paths] FileTagDat=e:\whiteboard\XyPlorerDebugSharedTAGS.DAT laptop:: admin.ini [Paths] FileTa...

Re: Relative To Tags Database - Not displaying tags
After some more testing, there is an issue with capitlization of the folder name and file name as well. My folder is called E:\Whiteboard. The tags everywhere else shows up fine, but if I tag a file in that folder it doesn't appear. In my admin.ini I specified E:\whiteboard\xxx.dat. Notice the lower...

Re: Relative To Tags Database - Not displaying tags
HighEnd, Let me just start by saying this... YOU are the man! That was an awesome catch. I've only tested things for a few minutes, but it really looks like that was the problem, especially given the error message about capitalization. And lowercase e:\ vs E:\ is a tough tough thing to notice. Great...

Re: Relative To Tags Database - Not displaying tags
More Info on the bug:: If I go into settings and do a database check, it says, "Corrected 4 false capitalizations", even though it doesn't seem to change anything. After doing this, the labels appear and work correctly, until you exit. Then restart again, and the same thing happens - the l...

Re: Relative To Tags Database - Not displaying tags
Sorry for the late reply. Was busy and then it took some time to figure out a reliably buggy case. Here's the test case:: 1) Path of tag.dat E:\Whiteboard\XyPlorerDebugSharedTAGS.DAT *************************************************************** 2) admin.ini [Paths] FileTagDat=e:\whiteboard\XyPlore...

Relative To Tags Database - Not displaying tags
Most Tags and labels are not being displayed. But curiously, some are. Forgive me if I did something wrong but because I'm new to this specific feature. Recently I decided to switch to "Configuration/Tags/Storage/Relative to tags database." I was using "Absolute paths" for many y...

Is there a way to make an Item Count column?
In "Tree and List" under configuration, there is a checkbox for "Show Item Count with Folder Sizes". This is great, and what I need. But it displays as for example "[350 Items]". It's too long, and almost doubles the size of my 'size' column. I need this information but...

Quick Search * /t problem
If I do a quick search on * /t to search for anything that is tagged, it returns anything that is tagged, labeled, or commented. I don't know if this is intentional, but if I search on anything other than *, it seems to search only tags as I expected. Same behavior happens when using tags:* Similar ...

Re: Option for Live Filter Box instead of Type Ahead Find
Ok, try this (the problem was the absence of a $tag value (even 0), those items weren't processed at all): $list = ""; foreach($item, <get selecteditemspathnames |>) { $tag = tagitems(1, , $item) - 1; if ($tag < -1) { $tag = -1; } if (!$tag) { $tag = 0; } $list = $list . $tag . "|&qu...
