Re: Branch View - Context Menu - Multiple Paths

I don't get it. You've said it doesn't work? Let me Summarize some of what I am seeing and thinking - regarding the Branch View - Context Menu with Multiple Paths. You need to use the Tweak AllowMultiLocShellMenu=1 . Programs such as Directory Opus and Xplorer2 -- seem to generally work with simila...

Re: Branch View - Context Menu - Multiple Paths

I've tried it with 2 files selected in a branch view. One .flac in a subfolder, one .mp3 in the root 64-bit context menu, "Edit ID-Tag" and the GUI loads fine for me. Is this a limitation of how many files are selected? Similar to your experience -- Multiple files with Multiple Paths -- T...

Re: Branch View - Context Menu - Multiple Paths

I tried the Tweak AllowMultiLocShellMenu=1 . I also read the previous Discussion at: https://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5439 . After implementing the Tweak the Context Menu did work to the point of showing my desired program as an option. Unfortunately there was a problem when I s...

Branch View - Context Menu - Multiple Paths

Here is my problem. I have a root folder, which contains many sub-folders, and many files. Imagine these folders contain AudioBooks or music albums which are made up of many audio types of files. These files may have different extensions, bit rates, and other audio properties. I use the Filter or Fi...

Re: deactivate instant autosort/update?

Sorry for making my above response. I see from: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15017 that: "New" is meant here in the sense "newly created", i.e. by using any of the "New ..." commands. What you want is not supported. Xyplorer's actions here are no...

Re: deactivate instant autosort/update?

Just like above users I tried the option --- Config > General > Tree and List > "Add new items at the end ... I was hoping and expecting that New Files that were downloaded or created into this Folder/Directory would show up at the bottom (ie the end). But they are being automatically sorted. I...

I started a large copy operation, from one of my hard drives to another, of a large directory I get the same (Not Responding) result, when I copy onto the same hard drive, with just one physical hard drive involved, instead of two different drives -- which should make this easier for others to see ...

All tried methods unsuccessful - "(Not Responding)".

Toolbar -- copy, and paste buttons.
Drag+Drop.
Control-C and paste via Control-V.

I'm using the Tabbed interface, and initiating copy from one tab, switching to the target tab and then starting the paste function.

Thanks. (1) Enable Configuration | Advanced | File operation dialog modeless. Even after exiting, and restarting Xyplorer - didn't seem to effect this -- XYplorer dimmed out, the window title added (Not Responding). I wish option 1 had worked for me. Option 2 - of starting a new instance, did work j...

Large Copy Operation - Not Responding. Multi-Threading

I started a large copy operation, from one of my hard drives to another, of a large directory with subdirectories (17 GigaBytes, roughly 3800 files). The Copy operation started -- reporting that the operation would take 20 minutes or so. Shortly thereafter, I clicked within Xyplorer -- hoping to do ...

It's a fundamental design decision and the idea to implement this after 10+ years of development is near to crazy. When I read the Don's comments and feedback, especially in this area I listen. I become concerned about the time and effort to implement a DP, and what would have to be slowed, sacrifi...

Yes drag'n'drop worked fine.
I didn't realize there might be a problem with copy'n'paste from Outlook. Best Wishes, and Hoping for future of copy'n'paste from Outlook.

Nothing to Paste

I'm using XYplorer 7.00.0002, with Vista. I opened up an email (Microsoft Outlook 2003) which contained a PDF file as an attachment. I right clicked on the attachment, and selected Copy. I then went over to XYplorer, and in the appropriate Tab - clicked on the Paste toolbar (same as Cntl V). To my s...

Thanks. I searched in wiki, but had forgotten to search in the forums, which did have an interesting discussion. Looks like even more exciting times in the future for Xyplorer.
