Re: The action cannot be completed because the other application

The problem seems to getting more common to the point where the time savings of using XY are outweighed by the delay it takes to hit retry when i have to mover or copy multiple files. Doesn't seem to occur on local drives. Always happens when moving, copying, or just selecting on local network drive...

is there a way to prevent a whole bunch of xy instances open

during a day, i can go to Task Manager and see five or six XY icons . Then i manually close most of them. I keep a couple because clicking on them is fastest way to open XY for me.

set sorting configuration by drive or path?

is there a way to set some drives or better some paths to sort say by creation date, and other drives/paths to sort first by folders, then by files and then creation date within that? Or is it one size fits all?

Re: Viewing multi-page PDF documents?

I too had switched to PDF-Xchange Editor, full edition because Acrobat was extremely slow when opening up in either File Explorer or even XYplorer or any 3rd party apps. Tried every trick i could find etc. Spee...

Making XYP default for File Explorer interferes w IE saving

Not sure, but appears that after I made XYP the default replacement for File Explorer, that when I save files from web apps that use IE to OneDrive, a large percentage of the time the files don't actually download. No error. Just not downloaded. I mostly save to OneDrive and so haven't tested with S...

newbie question re using hyphens in favorites

are hyphens used to annotate favorites or to sort them?

please give an example of what an edited favorite looks like after adding a hyphen.

e.g. do you need a space after the hyphen for the shortcut to work?

or should i just use "catalogs" and not mess with favorites?
