Re: [Solved] Help with Pane 2 (tabsets) -- can't close ...
This was interesting, I share your thoughts on the dual pane I always found it irritating, I like to work with a single pane. Selected the "always keep the first pane visable" Yes, I had that selected way back when, too. But, surprisingly, just last week I again, even after all this time,...

Re: Launch item in User Button on the toolbar in new tab?
goto "E:\BACKUPS\" and this isn't a scripted solution?... tab("new", "E:\BACKUPS"); Thank you! That works perfectly! Now when I click on the custom user button, as you state, it opens up the target folder in a new tab and nor overwriting the currently selected tab. :)

[RESOLVED] Re: Custom icons not working?
You need to reset your ico filetype association to default in Windows, your image viewer hi-jacked it, my preference is to do it manually via registry, but if you are not comfortable with that method then you can do it via Windows Settings. I can't believe it! When I read this I stifled an outburst...

[RESOLVED] Custom icons not working?
Hello! I have a weird thing going on. I really love the feature of being able to use our own icons for the customizable toolbar user buttons. These custom buttons are awesome! The one difficulty I have, though, is that they don't display the custom icons properly; which makes me wonder what I'm doin...

[Resolved] Launch item in User Button on the toolbar in new tab?
Hello! I was wondering if there was a way to open a target folder set into a User Button in a new tab, instead of it "overwriting" the current tab. -------------------------------------------- i.e., in the "On Left Click:" field in this "Edit User Button", I have this e...

"New" versus "New Items" in context menu ...
Is there any way to somehow re-label, say, "New Items" to "New Files", or something? I know it sounds silly, perhaps, but I always have to hover a second or two because I never remember which does which by the title, either "New" or "New Items". Or perhaps eve...

Re: Many tabsets -- is it possible to set tab focus for tabs, rather than last viewed tab?
Right click the tab in your tabset that you want set as the default and check "Default tab". XY will use the default tab when you are in any location in the tree or list that do not have a "lock location" or "Locked home zone" tab. Which doesn't necessarily mean when y...

Many tabsets -- is it possible to set tab focus for tabs, rather than last viewed tab?
I must have XYplorer set to open last viewed tab because each time I change tabsets, it's on a different tab. But what I think will work much better, especially since I have sooooo many tabsets <g>, is to have a default tab for some of the tabsets. I did a forum search but didn't find anything perti...

Re: [Solved] Help with Pane 2 (tabsets) -- can't close ...
Or maybe just remove the keyboard shortcut for "Toggle Active Pane" so that you can't accidentally switch them? Thanks! I _finally_ got around to having a few moments where I could sit down and figure this out and managed to take out the keyboard shortcuts. Tested out just fine. So no mor...

Keys stopped working (i.e., F2, F5, DEL, to name a few ...)
This must be something simple but it's weird. Keyboard shortcuts don't seem to be working and I don't know what I did to stop them ... it was an accidental thing, that's for sure. So, i.e., F2 doesn't start process for renaming, F5 won't refresh, DEL won't delete. I even deleted the KS.dat file, I t...

Re: [Solved] Help with Pane 2 (tabsets) -- can't close ...
There is a toolbar button to toggle between the two panes and it shows a number 1 or 2 depending on which one is active. This would certainly be the easier way to switch back to pane 1. There is even a standard shortcut to toggle the active pane with Ctrl+Alt+F10. Thanks, will check it out, that Ct...

You may want to change this setting: Configuration | Tabs and Panes | Dual Pane | Tab key == Tab through everything except inactive pane and probz this too: Configuration | Tabs and Panes | Dual Pane | Always keep 1st pane visible Wow, thanks! Really appreciate it, man! That should stop my occasion...

Re: Help with Pane 2 (tabsets) -- can't close ...
You might want to check the shortcut you use to start XY, it might contain the path you can't get rid of. Thanks! Turned out it was accidental key presses switching me somehow from Pane 1, the default, to Pane 2, which I couldn't see (as it seemed to be hidden), because I don't use dual pane. So as...

Re: Help with Pane 2 (tabsets) -- can't close ...
No clue if that's what you're looking for but: - Switch to pane 1 - Menu - Panes - Dual Pane I kept at it and found a solution to 1 issue, it's because I never used the dual pane feature, so you were right on the money, there. So I just kept digging online despite the hopelessness and stumbled upon...
