Is it still possible for filenames to be clipped at the end (as it was?) rather then mid-way (as it is now?) If so, how?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Actions not recorded in Action Log
XY ver 20.90.0900 When selecting a folder from the tree listing to copy using the 'Backup To' feature the copy works fine, but there is one issue: The copy action does not appear in the Action Log. I think it might be the same with a 'Move To' of a folder selected in the tree listing, the move works...

Re: Files being listed twice in file listing, probably after sleep
Here's some more... Drive E: had no disk. I inserted a CD in the optical drive E:. Somewhere around this point I got this message: 2020-02-06_213711.jpg It was not immediately recognised by XY so I tried tabbing over to My Documents intending to tab back to E: I then got the message shown below. But...

Re: Files being listed twice in file listing, probably after sleep
I am trying the latest version. Upon waking after a long sleep I got the attached message box. An optical drive that had a disk in had had the disk removed. It seems that XY can normally deal with that alright though. The duplication of file names in the listing did not occur this time, although tha...

Re: Files being listed twice in file listing, probably after sleep
Just a quick update: 20.50.0300 Issue seems to affect 'Search Results' listing (only?). Sometimes the same file is repeated THREE times! Increased from one to two after one sleep/wake, and then increased from two to three after another sleep/wake. But did not increase from three to four after anothe...

Re: Using [Shift] [F8] to switch tree listing on and off causes error.
The configuration is completely unchanged. I just shut XY down, and then started it again. The problem had then gone. And so far so good, it hasn't come back as yet.

Re: Using [Shift] [F8] to switch tree listing on and off causes error.
I have now tried to replicate the same problem with 20.50.0300 and cannot. Many times on the same set of tabs and even the same instance of XY as before.
So would trying a fresh config really prove anything?

Using [Shift] [F8] to switch tree listing on and off causes error.
When I tried using [Shift] [F8] to switch the tree listing on and off I got this error: Error: -2147221008 (0x800401F0) Desc: Automation error CoInitialize has not been called. Files being listed twice in file listing, probably after sleep
Version 20.40.0000 I have found on a number of occasions that each file in the file listing is listed twice! I have not had much opportunity to investigate this but it seems to come about after the computer has gone to sleep and then woken up again. Also I think that there has also been two panes in...

File associations being lost with open folder in new tab followed by sleep
Admittedly I am still using 14.80.0200. When opting to 'open folder in new window' to begin with everything is OK. Double clicking on files will open them as expected. If the computer is allowed to go to sleep and then subsequently woken up there is then a problem. File associations no longer work a...

All three check boxes are UNchecked.
The delay is set to 0.
These are the installation defaults.

Live Filter Box active but filtering not indicated in display
Where a file listing is the result of a search operation and a filter has been applied at first the filter is indicated in the Live Filter Box and also to the right of 'Find Files:' and the files listed are correctly filtered. If moving away to another tab and then returning to the tab containing th...

Re: Are operations made with 'Edit>Recent File Operations' recorded in 'Edit>Action Log'?
Thanks for that. This brings two more questions to mind: 1) Is absolutely EVERY file operation made with XYPlorer recorded in the Action Log, irrespective of the settings in Configuration > File Operations? 2) Even if an External Copy Handler is used? I suppose I could try this one out as well, but ...

Re: Discrepancy of precisely one hour in date and time stamp
In general GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)
at the moment we are in DST (end March - end October)
this is called BST (British Summer Time)
and is GMT + 1.00 (one hour later)
