Need Wildcard More Specifc in File Ext

I'm adding a way to quickly audit my backup log files that are scattered in sub folders under a root folder. The files have the extensions .log and .log.gz. but I just want to see the most recent .log files Here is my command goto "C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs\*.log";#311; sortby m,d: I...

Re: Paste from Clipboard

My understanding of Branch View is that from the selected root, it provides a virtual view of flattened contents. This can be very helpful but I don't believe it would help me physically reposition files. I haven't worked with Paperfolders but it seems to represent a folder with shortcuts to actual ...

Re: Paste from Clipboard

No, was just thinking of its use within XY, as an additional file management feature to help with the disk housekeeping. With enormous capacity disk drives so cheap these days and with my constantly expanding digital libraries (image, video and especially music) I have multiple local drives. XY has ...

Re: Paste from Clipboard

Hi Don, here are some shots that show the sequence of copying multiple files and then pasting them to different folders. Hope this makes sense and please let me know if any questions..

Paste from Clipboard

(Apologies if this has been mentioned) After copying multiple items then selecting "Edit Clipboard", would it be possible to select one of the copied files/strings, right-click (or button) and paste it where it would be placed at current cursor? This would be a big help when reorganizing files and f...

Branch View Labels

I have a UDF button that executes a Branch View to show my nightly backups. This includes multiple drives where for redundancy, each drive has a series of backup folders-files To visually separate the files and make the review a bit easier I would like to apply Label colors to these folders. Here is...

Collapse Tree Command

During the course of the day, after wandering around my various drives and folders, periodically I like to clean up the tree so I I added a UDF Button as follows: goto "C:\";#1040; This works fine in collapsing child folders but it will not collapse the folders immediately under the root. ScreenHunt...

Re: Newbie Simple Script Help

Thanks but I could not get that script to work, it kept returning a blank tab. By modifying the Branch View configuration and adding a favorite to my backup folder root, with 2 mouse clicks I can get pretty close. Only issue is there does not seem to be a way to modify the BV column width and as the...

Newbie Simple Script Help

For my purposes, the many XY OOB features rarely require any customization beyond user-defined buttons, as a result I have not had the need for scripts. Now, as I try to build my first script, I am having difficulty with interpreting the Help script instructions as to both the type of command I shou...

Changing Path on Catalog Items

I have come to heavily rely on the Catalog feature and have multiple Catalogs containing many items. Due to my own lack of planning, carelessness etc, I periodically need to rename folders that comprise the item paths. I them have to click through the properties of each item and correct each path. N...
