Re: Display image preview of archives

Can confirm, CBX Shell does not seem to work. I'm adding it in user-defined section and it even recognizes the class name, but nothing happens when a .zip file with images is displayed in a folder with thumbnails view.

Re: Duplicate Image Finder improvements

Out of curiosity, is there any professional photo app doing such a detailed comparison? I don't think there is, but I was mainly trying general file comparison applications, not photo apps. The dupe finder might get awfully slow if it has to compare the RGB values for all the pixels in an image and...

Duplicate Image Finder improvements

I needed to find dupes in collections of images that have only slight differences in RGB values, and couldn't do it properly with how duplicate finder is working now. At tolerance = 1 there are already many false positive cases. Seeing the "image hash" having this size, I'm thinking it's j...

Re: Selection gets reset on background tabs

Yes, same session. I just select some file at one tab, then switch to another tab. Few hours later I return back to the first tab and the selection is reset. Files are sorted by creation date. How can I debug this?

Re: Tags are not being auto-saved

Do you mean that you are not going to fix this issue? Because users may lose data if they make a mistake? Is it more important to consider than losing data due to crash? Also, really I agree - if user adds a tag to an item that was not tagged before or changes an existing tag, he should expect to no...

Tags are not being auto-saved

Scenario: - Enable auto-saving settings each 30 minutes. - At any time, tag any file. - 5 hours later, kill XYplorer process. - Run it again. - The file appear not tagged anymore. My PC crashes once in a month for different reasons, and each time I'm losing some tags. I hope this will be fixed at so...

Selection gets reset on background tabs

This started after one of recent updates (could've happened few months ago). Previously, when some file is selected in one tab, the selection did not get reset after some time while the tab was not being active. Now, it gets reset - first file gets selected, scroll position also gets to the top. Not...

Re: New command line switch equal to explorer.exe /select

Thanks for reply. Do you mean the problem with highlighting?

And what about subfolder situation?
1. When asked to open a subfolder inside a folder, /path makes XYplorer just open the subfolder, while /select opens the folder and selects the subfolder.

Re: New command line switch equal to explorer.exe /select

I'd like developer to consider this feature, in case it was somehow missed. The alternative solution kindly provided by highend in the mentioned thread has certain limitations that prevent it from correctly working with all files.

Re: Questions about /path=

I see. There is a workaround for that limitation, sorry for ignoring the possibility of that. I've tried your script. Indeed, troubles with ' are rather serious for me because I have enough names with it. If anything, it makes it an improper solution. Of course I'm still grateful for it. Also, there...

Re: Questions about /path=

I'm still using default setting for those. Also I don't see why would I want to change "Open (Files)" operation. If I just want to open some file, I don't need XYplorer to show it to me first. I already have "Open Path" set to [explorer.exe /select], and "Explore Path" ...

Re: Questions about /path=

The problem is, for any script function you have to use "(" and ")". But Everything application is not so smart - it sends the command line between first "(" and first ")". So, anything after the first ")" is going to get ignored. Simple example, I s...

Re: Questions about /path=

I think the functionality in question is too basic for the application that replaces Windows Explorer, especially because Windows Explorer itself has a dedicated command line for this. I've checked scripting section in Help, and I see there are several issues already with no apparent solution: - I d...

Re: Questions about /path=

As I've said already, I've tried it and it's 100% same as with /path= command line. It has all the same problems: - highlighting a file instead of selecting it; (which is a huge difference - as a result, often needed to execute the command twice before it selects the proper file) - opening a target ...
