Re: Possible bug or config issue under Windows 7 x64 -- Permissi
Please see the WOW64 Redirection topic in XYplorer's Help. Some quick Googling suggested two generic workarounds: 1. install the equivalent 32-bit version of the missing objects, if available; 2. if running PowerShell scripts, insert a test in the script for the bitness of the PowerShell version it...

Re: Possible bug or config issue under Windows 7 x64 -- Permissi
I haven't seen this particular issue in this forum before, but it's probably to do with the fact that the 64-bit version of Windows 7 comes with both 32- as well as 64-bit versions of PowerShell. XYplorer, being a 32-bit app, presumably starts the 32-bit version (I'm not clear how exactly you start...

Possible bug or config issue under Windows 7 x64 -- Permissi
This may have come up before, I tried searching the forums but 7 and 64 are 'to short' and get ignored which leads to million pages of 'windows' results. So this could be documented somewhere but I cannot find it. Ok, Here is my situation. I will be specific in case this is a new issue.. If I launch...

did search --> follow folder links change?
I have some search templates setup mapped that search through a bunch of shortcuts to other folders. When I run it this morning it is returning the shortcut folders as well as the data below it. ie: name: *.safe; *.bak; *.dmp; *.dat; *.tar location: My Documents\Backup_Checks\Thursday\ include subfo...

Re: XYcopy wishes
In regards to toggling the feature on/off. What about user defined parameters to determine what gets queued or not? Always queue files meeting this criteria: Single item copy > 10MB Total selected items size > 100MB Extension = rar, zip, iso Parent folder = Movie_Downloads Never Queue these file types...

Re: Opening files with apps that have custom file assoc broken
Ah yes, ok, this one I could fix. Though I must say that I don't have any PFAs set up -- just the normal Windows associations. Yes. I think the title of this thread is misleading, it's actually about Windows associations. PFAs never had any problem AFAIK. My problem is fixed now. Sorry if the title...

Notepad++ HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Notepad++_file\shell\open\command\ (default) = "C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe" "%1" I am having trouble finding the other one... I have not downloaded any image apps on this machine (that I remember) it is still set to the default window...

Opening files with apps that have custom file assoc broken
This is new as of the latest beta. (AFAIK...) The problem is a little difficult for me to explain so I will just give examples. I tested two apps because my notepad registry entries were modified to open notepad++ by default and I wanted to try and make sure that wasn't the cause here. under customi...

delay (20 second+) when typing in address bar
I was typing this up and cleared my problem during the course of the message but figured it might be a good idea to post the symptoms anyways in case anyone else experiences it. The solution was to clear out: Tools --> list management --> Address Bar and Goto When I type a path into the address bar ...
