Re: Paper folders
I can create a paper folder that displays all the contents of a folder. But it is static. Is it possible to make it dynamic so it always shows the current contents?

Remember list settings per tab
Configuration > Styles > Remember list settings per tab I have this setting turned on and applied to all the sub options. When I open a folder in a tab, all the tab settings like sort order, column width and changes made through 'Tools > Customize List' are lost. So it doesn't seem to 'Remember list...

Re: How to color selected row?
That is selected. But I need the following option selected: "Remember list settings per tab". That would negate the first option.
What I need is a feature where new tabs that spawn as a result of opening a folder in a tab whose location is locked inherit the list styles of the locked tab.

Re: How to color selected row?
I see this has to be applied every time I open a new tab. Is there a way to make it universal?

Re: Can I upgrade from version 15 without losing settings?
XYplorer comes in two flavors: I got the impression from the wording on the home page that there was only a portable version now. Also, on the download page, the description under the installer says it is portable. If you really want to make sure XY remains portable no matter what, make a file &quo...

Re: Can I upgrade from version 15 without losing settings?
Your home page says XYplorer is a portable file manager. It doesn’t require any installation, stores all configuration data in the application data folder , and running it doesn’t change your system or registry. Take it with you and start it from a USB stick. Why doesn't my install work that way? Wh...

Re: Can I upgrade from version 15 without losing settings?
My old brain finally remembered I had a similar issue the last time I updated several years ago. I found my notes which say to delete "startup.ini" after upgrading. That took care of my issue. I keep the data and executable in the same folder. I'm surprised you still store your files in tw...

Re: Can I upgrade from version 15 without losing settings?
How do I email you?
By settings I wasn't referring to the configuration options. I haven't checked those yet. I'm referring to the layout of panels, tabs and catalogs.

Can I upgrade from version 15 without losing settings?

Re: [Solved] Need help updating Xyplorer
if you're using XYplorer in a portable environment, it makes sense to download the portable No-Install packages Since the downloads are fresh installs and not updates, I was concerned that the no-install package would overwrite my settings. I figured the installer might be smarter. :) I didn't real...

[Solved] Need help updating Xyplorer
I installed Xyplorer some time ago and then brought it into the PortableApps launcher. The Data folder is in "Desktop\Portable Apps\PortableApps\xyplorer(portable)\Data\". After installing the new version Xyplorer is now using "\Users\Win7-2011\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer" for the D...

Re: Delete folders & leave contents?
I ended up doing this with a find, moving the find results and then deleting the empty folders.
