Here's XY's contextmenu vs. explorer's:

There is an option to Shift-Rightclick a file in explorer and the context menu then includes the option "Unlock with File Locksmith". Is there a chance to somehow make that possible for XY's contextmenu or set up a CFA to do this?

This involved a newly created folder. Unless there is some auto-saving of FVs, it should not have had a FV. But your question led me in the direction of "Automatically apply Default Folder View" which I found checked and unchecked immediately. No idea how that got checked

Oh...and "Freezing" the preview also means that it won't update if the file updated - which is counter-purpose (at least for me...)

It would be very nice if Floating Preview had an option by which I could "lock" the file - meaning that I could navigate in XY w/o interfering with the preview. But this would then extend naturally into the ability to have multiple previews open - and probably the need a for a "Close ...
