Re: Cloud functionality
I vote AGAINST CLOUD FUNCTIONALITY. While it may be more convenient for those who use data-storage services, it would potentially be a privacy threat to all. The large volumes of data at data-storage services make them a tempting target for hackers, and indeed the numerous breaches of security that ...

Re: Cloud integration (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.)
I am very much AGAINST CLOUD INTEGRATION, mainly for security reasons. I do not want to give Google et al access to my computer in any way. This merely paves the way for them and the government agencies they work with to violate everyone's privacy, spy on people, search their private information, et...

Re: I Wish Don a Long and Happy Life - And a Continued Obsession with Improving his already Deep and Excellent XY
Agree completely with these wishes -- XYplorer is a superb product, extraordinarily useful, and at the same time a continual discovery as I learn new features and incorporate them into my standard usage. Many thanks to Donald Lessau for his very fine work.

Re: Highlight recently used folders
Is there a way to highlight or find recently added folders? My reason for requesting this is that my backup utility does not copy newly added folders. It is therefore necessary to copy these manually. (The backup utility then replicates files within those folders OK.) I would like to make sure I hav...

Thanks SammaySarkar, you got it! When I closed the other application, Ctrl-G worked fine.

Re: Invert and Grayscale
Ah yes, Grayscale is in 'Advanced options'. (This additional step is not mentioned in the Help instructions.) So the procedure is: F11 > rt-click > Advanced options > Check Grayscale Then, to return to the color preview, the following procedure: F11 > rt-click > Advanced options > Uncheck grayscale ...

Re: Invert and Grayscale
The 'enable grayscale' option does not appear in the right-click menu, either in Preview mode or in Floating Preview monde. In other words, there is no place to select to enable grayscale. This option does not exist. However, the other functions ((invert, histogram, white border) work fine without b...

Re: Invert and Grayscale
Yes, I am using the latest version: 16.00.0200. I press f11 to get floating preview, then Ctrl-G, and nothing happens. Nothing happens with any image. As previously mentioned, Ctrl-I, Ctrl-H, and Ctrl-W work fine. Only Ctrl-G for grayscale -- which is the only function I would really like to use -- ...

Re: Invert and Grayscale
I've been hoping for a grayscale preview for some time, was pleased to find it in the new version, then disappointed it doesn't work! Invert (Ctrl-I) and histogram (Ctrl-H) and white border (Ctrl-W) work, but nothing happens when Ctrl-G (for grayscale preview) is pressed. It doesn't work with any im...

Re: Set Box Color changes all files instead of only one file
Aha! That works. The instructions would have been clearer if that step were included.
This seems a cumbersome way of doing what should be a simple thing. Perhaps a future version could put the 'change the color of one file only' in the right-click list.

Re: Set Box Color changes all files instead of only one file
Many thanks for your response. As the attached screenshot shows, there is no place to enter the full path of the filename to be color-coded. Also, what to do about XYplorer refusing to change the box colors mistakenly colored back to their previous colors? Thanks for further help.[attachment=0]Color...

Set Box Color changes all files instead of only one file
Objective: Change the box color of one file in a long list so that it is immediately and distinctly visible. Method: Select file > Favorites > Set Box Color > Select Color > OK Result 1: Changes box color of the folder and of all files in folder Result 2: Cannot change box color back to previous col...
