I think Color Filters is a pretty cool feature, especially with the backgrounds. The only problem I'm having with it is that the background is only as big as the filename. I see in the changes that it is an intended feature (for now), but it does look quite messy when your filenames and folder names...

I'd definitely love it if this software would get background coloring in the color filters! I agree that for the text alone, the coloring is a bit too subtle at times, and it's kind of limited in diversity. With backgrounds added, it might spur more different color combinations.
