I am having the same issue. But then I only use portable applications, does that matter? I have set up File Associations within XY. Does this work for icon Hover preview?

Sorry, I forgot to add the Copy/cut was the cause of the crash, not selecting! I amended my post above.

Apologies for the confusion, I thought I made it clear but I see it isn't! Ok, so changing the setting stopped the crash and I instead got the error message posted above.
