Re: Junction links...is this normal behaviour?

Oh? So it is. I just tried using Windows mklink command, same result. Should have done that prior to posting... Well, sorry for the stupid question and thanks for the quick response! I'm hope someone else will wonder about this eventually and hopefully finds this post and the answer so it's no...

Junction links...is this normal behaviour?

Hi, I'm fairly new to Junction, Symbolic & Hard links so I might be wrong but from what I've read and even seen demonstrated in youtube videos, when you delete the content of a Junction folder, it shouldn't delete the target content...right? Because that's what's happening in XY. However when I dele...

Re: Tab to full screen view?

Well, ok. Said like that, you make it sound SUPER simple so maybe if there is a beginner's tutorial somewhere, I'll give it a try!
Because as is, no...I have no idea how to proceed? Command IDs, I imagine are the number's next to the commands...and then...what?

Re: Tab to full screen view?

Yikes! Ok....not what I was hoping for that would qualify as best/easiest but I already made it a single pane which is a lot better. I'll do with that. Funny, I had found a thread dating back to 2007 requesting this! Oh well, XYPlorer does A LOT, can't do everything for everyone either so...I'm good...

Tab to full screen view?

Hi, Is there a way to get a tab to be viewed in full screen or basically, what the best/easiest way to get a tab to fill up the screen as much as possible? Reason is, I just did a search for dupes and it found lots and it would be a lot more comfortable to have an as full view as possible. Thanks! (...

Re: Search for Tags AND Comments not possible?

I'm sure it is in the manual but to gather all that information would have taken me forever and probably still wouldn't have gotten it right, so thanks!

Search for Tags AND Comments not possible?

When searching for a keyword in Tags or Comments, The Find Files function won't find it if both are enabled and the keyword only exists in Tags or Comments but not both! Here's an example... I have a series of Portable Apps of which the name can often be very cryptic as far as their functionality. S...

Save global settings/configuration to file?

Hi,
I'd like to have a backup of all my personalizations/settings I have in XY. I don't see any global save option...how is it done?
The idea would be that, if all goes wrong, I can open a fresh install of XY and import the settings. How can this be done?
Thanks!

Ok, then file this as a bug report! :( (unless I just happen to be the only one and it's OS environment related)

[Bug?] Editing folder names...

Not sure this would really qualify as a bug, maybe it's a setting or a permanent change to XY's behavior but I used to be able to quickly edit a series of folder names by just using the UP/DOWN arrow keys: Imagine 10 folders and I change the name for folder 1. Then, with my cursor still blinking in ...

Re: Report Empty Folders and Zero-Sized Files.

Great, thanks!
(although I since figured out I could simply do it using a few filters with the 'Find Files'!)
