Yep, It's been around for a long time, but I like it!
Yes seen the options!
Tools>Configuration>File Operation>Custom Copy Operations>Configure.

checked all settings.
no tick in box for generic
So still got no customised icons showing on Network drives.

The filesystem is NTFS
NAS is a basic system.
So, no surprises there.
So, it doesn’t work.
For the time being I will stick with
colour coding the folders
Using Favorites>Set Highlight Colour…
