Option to right align all view columns except name

I end up using the "Autosize columns now" option a lot as I move through directories in order to be able to see more or less of a file name. I also tend to resize the application window a lot depending on how many tabs are open and how long the file names are. Autosize works well however i...

Re: Crash when dismounting TrueCrypt drives

Great! Thanks for the (amazingly) quick turn-around.

TrueCrypt is a nice program. I had a laptop stolen once and learned my lesson. Now all sensitive files are on TrueCrypt volumes that I mount only when needed.

Re: Crash when dismounting TrueCrypt drives

True crypt is trival to download and install. It is very light weight. http://www.truecrypt.org/. Create a small (10MB) file volume (use all defaults) and mount it one any available drive.

Re: Crash when dismounting TrueCrypt drives

That is correct, except for the continue part. XY always 'goes away' after the crash or the error 91. BTW, I haven't seen the error 91 in a while. Now I just get the standard windows exception "do you want to debug..." crash notification.

Re: Crash when dismounting TrueCrypt drives

Some more info: 1) I believe that this is not a new issue. Starting this weekend is the first time that I have started mounting and dismounting TrueCrypt volumes. Prior to this point I just mounted a volume and left it mounted until power-off. 2) I just used the tool VCdControlTool (from MicroSoft) ...

Re: Crash when dismounting TrueCrypt drives

Thanks for trying to reproduce this. I have verified that it crashes with three different volumes. I don't have any problems accessing the drives, just when dismounting. I just reformatted and reinstalled XP pro this weekend (to replace a bad HDD) so everything is as clean as can be. I have anti-vir...

Re: Crash when dismounting TrueCrypt drives

XY always crashes after the drive dismount. Sometimes it gives the error message but most of the time it does not. I turned on logging as you suggested and ran the test several times. The test consist of simply starting XY, mounting a drive, dismounting a drive. The crash happens after the dismount....

Crash when dismounting TrueCrypt drives

XYplorer crashes when I dismount a TrueCrypt drive. I am running XYplorer version 8.50.0036 and using TrueCrypt version 6.3 on a fresh install of Windows XP, SP3. Sometimes XYplorer gives an error message like this (but not always): Error 91 (0000005B) Desc Object variable or With block variable not...

MINOR: File count not readable when > 9999 files

If there are more than 9999 files in a directory the file count column does not expand to fit a 5th digit.

Re: More options for the setting command

Makes sense to me. Plus the script to toggle icon overlay seems to work just fine. Thanks for the note.

Re: Show Icon Overlays Setting Toggle

Don't worry about this particular setting as the script that TheQwerty posted works great. The required restart is not an issue here. Having a generalized setting API would be nice though 8) .

Thanks!

More options for the setting command

I would like to request the addition of a "Show Icon Overlay" option for the setting command. For speed reasons it would be nice to be able to toggle this setting when using Mercurial or SVN.

Thanks!

Re: Show Icon Overlays Setting Toggle

Thanks for the quick reply and the script. I will add a feature request to Don's already long list.

Thanks again.

Show Icon Overlays Setting Toggle

I use the Mercurial SCM and the TortoiseHg explorer extensions. XYplorer does a great job of showing the icon overlays for tracked files. There are times, however, when I just wish to quickly browse through my files and don't want the added delay of icon overlays. I would like to make a script that ...
