I did it with Idowswin Pro now, because I already have it, it's also in German and this feature works perfect. But it would really be nice, if the great XYPlorer also could do that with some mouse clicks and a simple to understand ui.

I was afraid that somebody would have such an idea. Has nobody ever seen how easy it is for example in Idoswin Pro to rename, renumber and all these things? There are many things which XYPlorer can do better, but I think, this is a less strong part. Please find an easier solution for us user.

The image files out of my camera have names like DSC_0001.NEF DSC_0002.NEF DSC_0003.NEF and so on. If I delete one file and want to renumber them all, it's easy with F2 (or Shift-F2) => DSC_<#0001>. But now I have added file descriptions to the filename, like DSC_0001 Königspython Baby.NEF DSC_0002 ...
