Open in Linux from Win guest
Hi, I've switched to Linux with Windows XP in Virtualbox and Xyplorer doesn't work well for me under Wine. So I created this workaround to open files with their right applications. Note: I'm a newbie in Linux and these programming languages, so please be gentle with me. I know the writing's awful an...

Re: Problems showing hidden files
Yes. And for the toolbar it's summarized "items".
I ended up copying my old XYplorer folder to F and changing startup.ini. That seems to work. I just couldn't get it to work with a normal installation on C. One problem solved was another one created.

Re: Problems showing hidden files
Hi, sorry for the late reply but I actually had to buy a new computer because my motherboard and/or processor broke. Of course there“s a "Show Hidden Items". Shortcut Ctrl+Shift+H. I'm talking about the Toolbar here, so maybe there's the confusion? I tried several folders because my first ...

Problems showing hidden files
Hi, I had to reinstall Windows (7) and copied all my old XYplorer settings. But now I can't show hidden files anymore for some reason. When I switch to "show hidden items" the program shows the hidden files but immediately freezes and doesn't respond anymore. Hidden files are shown normall...

Re: Bring back the old "calculate folder sizes" toolbar icon
Hi,
I kinda agree but if the new icon bothers you that much there's an easy workaround: customize the toolbar by adding a user button, add the command to "on left click" (it's #487) and use whatever icon you like/find on the internet.

Re: Rotated thumbnails preview
Lol, I see your point, but I do have a legitimate use for it: choosing knitting patterns. Depending on which direction you're knitting a sweater in, the end result appears from a different angle than the picture of the pattern. And I have hundreds of patterns to choose from and love to put my presel...

Rotated thumbnails preview
Hi, I'd love to see a new "Views" option where you can show thumbnails at a certain angle (especially 90 or 180 degrees). That is, I don't want to change the original and I don't want to use floating preview for a single image. I just want all pictures in the folder I'm currently in to be ...

Keep progress dialog in background
Hi, I'm not sure if there's already a way to prevent this, but I didn't find one, so here's my request: I have a script to copy files to my backup disc. The script works such that a separate background job is launched for each file, so a separate progress dialog pops up for each. The problem is that...

Re: Warn on opening multiple files at once
+1 from me.
Also, the threshold should be customizable, and possibly even the extension (opening 30 small pdf files isn't as bad as opening 30 long HD videos).

Mirror file operatione in dual pane
Hi, I have a request to expand the sync browsing feature: would it be possible to make an option available to perform the same move/copy/delete operations in both panes while sync browsing with auto select? The advantage being, of course, that you could spare yourself lengthy backup operations when ...

Re: XYCopy - retry failed files
I'd like this feature too. Should be easy enough to implement at least with an open progress dialogue. Talking about XYCopy: on name collisions of pictures, it would be nice to be able to click on the picture you want to keep. Kind of like how the windows 7 copy window works (but with the thumbnail,...

Re: Combine combined searches?
I don't see how this makes the process easier? It still requires two clicks. The second variable is permanent for eventual subsequent searches. That is, if I execute the combined search, and thenI change one category, I only need one click to perform the modified combined search. That's also why I e...

Re: Combine combined searches?
Your script adds the two search results, I want a conjunction between the two searches, so that the file name has to contain: ALL items from Category A AND EITHER ONE of Category B. The whole executing the separated searches thing is just to get the string containing the ticked items. If there's ano...

Re: Combine combined searches?
Hi, Why should the search be executed again when you already ran them both? What I meant was: after I ran the first two (separate) searches in order to get the search terms into my variables, I'm running the third, combined search, the one I actually want. Maybe I should post the code as it is now. ...
