Situation: For portability, I would like to set some paths using variables so that I can change them all at once when needed. As for example, many of my favorites, applications, catalog items in XY are of portable softwares that I currently store in S:\Portables . If I migrate this folder to other ...

Re: Paper Folders

When pressing Ctrl+B to add a paper folder to Favorites, the result shown were inconsistent. Firstly I only saw the following message when I pressed Ctrl+B and no entry of paper:NAME was created in Favorites unset favorite: paper:NAME Then suddenly, it started to work but now Ctrl+B instead of toggl...

Re: Explorer Thumbnails - Images, videos, and possibly more

Another good and free shell extension for previewing images is XnShellEx. It previews almost all popular formats including *.psd and adds a useful context menu giving fast access to common image processing features.

Re: What is the correct way to drag-drop a file from XY ?

@Don Yes, that is what that happens. @nerdweed explanation holds true. Explorer is activated only on mouse up which makes this possible. Whereas XY gets activated on mouse down causing this drag and drop to not work as smoothly as it should. I always drag to Taskbar. btw, with Portable File Associat...

What is the correct way to drag-drop a file from XY ?

Applications like ResourceHacker and Notepad open the files that are dropped on them. I tried to drag a file from XY but when I press the left-button to start hold the file, the target GUI (Notepad, ResHack) gets deactivated and minimized. This doesn't happen with other file managers like win explor...

Re: Can I force new tabs to all open at the same place, say,

Welcome to the forum! :) Within XYplorer.ini , there is an INI tweak called StartPathNewTab under [Settings] which allows you to set a start path for all new tabs. For instructions on what an INI tweak is and how to configure it, read this post: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?p=32413#p3...

Re: "Go back" in active tab with the mouse

BTW, is there a chance of a customizable or a Power Right-click menu. There are many options like Folder Sizes, Save current view, tabsets, bookmarks, branch view that I will use regularly and though I can use shortcuts for them, it would be better if they are accessible from the mouse itself. I hav...
